I hope Jodoin's coming as an assistant. Definitely seems like a player's coach, could be a ying to Therrien's yang.

I'd be happy to have Jodoin in Montreal. We would still need the cool ex-player like Muller though.

Two years asst coach in the AHL (Colorado farm team) and three years asst coach in the NHL (Colorado).

And he played pro for 18 seasons

Interdasting, I had no idea he coached after his NHL career. Liking this at first glance.

Looks like they are eyeing a potential long term plan after all.

Like others I wonder what that means for Jodoin though.

My one problem is that he's only learned under Joe Sacco. He's been his assistant in Lake Erie and Colorado. If we were going to promote an asst coach to head coach I would have liked someone with more experience, who has learned from more than only one coach.

Add that we have loads of young talent coming to Hamilton this year and it could be an issue IMO. I guess it depends how highly you regard Sacco.

I'll give the guy the benefit of the doubt, who knows maybe he is a great hockey mind.

No surprise a former defenceman is hired as HC with all the kids on defence arriving in Steeltown this upcoming season.

Also, RDS better get their **** together because TVA Sports seems to be coming up with a lot of scoops.

He also coached for a couple of years here in Sherbrooke for the Champlain College Cougars in the Junior AAA league, winning one of those years.

He never really stopped being around hockey.

Had the chance to have him to coach me one day in Sport-Études, he made us work on our Edge control and I've never done some weird exercise as these throughout my playing career. And I've never been more beat up after that particular practice. From what I gathered with a few kids I know who played under him, he seems like a really good teacher. He's not the kind of coach that will scream at the guys, and he knows his hockey.

Really good acquisition.

Well @Adater reported that a team wanted to talk with Lefebvre, Caisse just asked questions and got answers, it's not really a breaking news.

It was to be expected IMO.

Didn't he just sign a 2 year extension to stay with the Avs less than a month ago?

I'll wait til TSN or RDS has this info until I get all excited about this

If that's true, this means Clément Jodoin is most likely going to be on the bench with Mike Therrien.

That is a strange hire. The guy is the perfect D coach, yet I don't see him as a head coach in any positions anywhere, he's too passive.

Good news, Ive nothing against Jodoin but I dont think he was the proper person as the head coach of our farm.. Good hockey mind, he loves to teach the game but isnt the best motivator out there..

Yet they hired Lefvebre who is not the most extravagant soul.

This is the type of hire I like to see. A potential future Head coach. Also its genius because like someone said we have plenty of rookie dmen in hamilton next season.

Not happy about this one bit. Apparently he wasn't a very likeable person in Avs locker room, he's a yeller and his work with Avs D is anything but impressive.

I thought he was too soft and passive?

Clearly, it doesn't seem like we know much about him.
