Rangers strength is with young D plus they are going to likely be in the Schultz sweeps. Given they already have McDonaugh , Girarid, Staal, Del Zotto, Erixon, McIlrtah if anything they may eventually trade a young D man
they need offense like so many other teams. Ideally a LW

I don't think it would make sense, but getting Gardiner would help to get them Schultz. I wouldn't do it as the Leafs though.

He's not the issue. We just need to address our forward scoring depth. Our defensive depth is more than fine, so while Gardiner is a fine player, we don't really need him.

That's why I'd rather trade Stepan and get more for him. Keep AA, the physically more gifted.
Stepan has more value than Arty. Again I don't want to just dump Arty or Dubi I want value back.
If it can be a guy like Clowe with a pick and a 3rd liner then maybe. I threw Handzus out there. Would be expensive but add depth at C
Issue I have with the current Ranger lineup is Arty is not really a RW and he's not a #1 or maybe even 2 LW/C. He's the type of guy who can be bumped up and help like he did with the Stepan, Gabby line this yr.
Also whether NYR fans like it or not Boyle is the 3rd line C

Again you dont move Dubi or AA unless you get a top 6 winger and a descent 3rd line RW in my opinion
Yeah. As a Buffalo fan, I'd do Anisimov/Dubinsky/1st for Vanek.
Vanek has his flaws just like Gaborik, but I'd do this in a heartbeat. I catch a lot of Buff games since I go to college near there and think he'd do extremely well with Stepan.
I'd be very happy if our lines were:
Hagelin-Richards-Gaborik
Vanek-Stepan-Kreider
FA vet-Anisimov-Callahan
Rupp-Boyle-Prust
Konopka as extra forward.
That gives us two excellent scoring lines, a very defensively responsible third line capable of 55+ goals (even if you assume the vet is only good for ten) and a great checking fourth line.

Not sure why Anisimov is your third-line pivot - he'd be in Buffalo.
