Sad to see Stuart go. He's been a rock for the Wings on defense the past few years. He wasn't good in the playoffs this year, but I don't think his heart was in Detroit.

Still good defensively, eats minutes on the PK, but prone to the occasional blunder.

Don't mind this. Murray was probably gone and a 7th round pick if we sign him is not much considering how many the Sharks seem to always have. Hopefully he signs for cheap.

Aren't we at the contact limit? So we HAD to send someone back and Murray's a UFA too...

They probably also wanted to get him and sign him before the draft so they're in a better position to wheel and deal...

We sign him it means he'll replace D. Murray who will be moved as part of a package or pick/prospect. It's possible, but less likely that Braun/Demers could get moved, doubt it as they have cap friendly salaries.
