I'm all about making a push for Parise/Suter. Worry about the Salary Cap later, worry about winning a Stanley Cup today.

I'd like him back

The UFA market seems pretty weak this year beyond Parisť and Suter. Other than these two, perhaps Andrei Kostitsyn would be a more financially realistic target.

Yeah it is a very bad class. I would like Jackman on D. Maybe a gritty forward but trades are the only way to go. Hopefully at the draft

go to Cap geek and only add Parise for around 7 million. That roster would look really good

Sullivan would be okay but money would be better spent elsewhere.

Center depth (bottom 6) is very available this off-season and for good prices, that's where money should be spent and then you give a bunch of money to a SAH guy for the 2nd pairing and this team looks a hell of a lot better.
Hudler has never played center ever.

This will be blamed on Bowman somehow..

"Why didn't Bowman trade a 2nd for his rights!! What an idiot!!!"

There are still a few upgrades available, but probably only minor ones.

Jay McClement would be great, but it sounds like he's chasing a big pay day.

Sure, financially realistic.

Would be the worst signing in Hawks history, but yes it would be financially realistic.

I would rather sign this guy than ANY Kostitsyn:

As far as Suter goes for signing here, his Uncle was a hawk and he still keeps in touch with the organization plus he can stay in the central division.

As for Parise he could join a team that won it all just two years and is young. Toews, Kane, Bolland, Keith and Seabrook all part of a young championship core. This talk of him going to Detroit is silly. Wings are a ****ing old team and are 4 years removed from a title and have an over the hill core.

The only thing that can wreck these signings is bowman but on the other hand he helped sign off on ludicrous deals to huet and Campbell plus the hossa deal and has been a part of big free agent signings. Mcsplash will put his orders in soon, team needs to energize the fans again.

I would take Sergei on Hawks without hesitation

His game has really developed under Trotz

He is hustling to backcheck and generally seems to be developing after getting stuck in Habs organization

You would take the half ******** bioengineered love child of Josef Stalin and Rasputin on our team too, because you are obsessively in love with Russian players!

Yeah yeah they're actually Belarusian, close enough.

Just say no to ex-USSR players, no good can come from them in Chicago.

No...Czechoslovakia was formed at the end of WWI as a successor of the austro hungarian empire. it was communist for about 40 yrs and considered an "iron curtain" country....but wasn't part of the USSR.

Slovakia wasn't part of the Czech Republic. When Czechoslovakia dissolved in the early 1990s it became Czech Republic and Slovak Republic (aka Slovakia).
