I think we'll make it to the second round...and then exit.

Win the cup, how else can I vote?

Perfect year, Leddy steps up, Crawford bounces back, Q is hands-off and the team practically coaches itself via player leadership, and everyone stays healthy. Maybe a nifty trade at the deadline too.

I think this team really impresses everyone. I think the finish as a #4 seed and dominate whoever finishes #5th, but then loses a very tight series to either the Kings or Blues.

With the defense the Hawks have and if no trade for a respectable top four D-man happens to this team with only one elite top pairing and bottom/AHL types as filler, one and done sounds about right.

Not even going to try to prognosticate the madness that is the playoffs, but regular season?

Second in the division behind St. Louis, fifth or sixth in the West.

if anyone finishes above us in our div except St. L i'll be worried.

our conference? St. L., Van, LA...and after that we have every right to get really grumpy.

as an aside - let's "check out" of the mentality that the div. will go to St. L. honestly, we can beat them in the regular season!

THIS!

This team is non changed, and no adding a #6 dman doesn't change anything about a team. So since the team is the same, the coaching staff is the same and the GM is the same the result will be the same.

This is a playoff team. Once there I have no idea what happens as it will be all about the matchups with this team or Crawford playing out of his mind in order for them to advance.

I think we do 1 round better than last year. I think the shortened season will help Keith and Seabrook. Kane's wrist should be better and hopefully Toews stays healthy. I think whatever team we play in the playoffs we will dominate in the 1st round like last year, but this year their goalie won't be able to save them this year. Round 2 we go down in 6-7 games, but is love to be wrong and go further.

I think we'll barely make it out of the 1st round and then get bent over in the 2nd. So Q will keep his job and the fans suffer another disappointing playoff loss.

Tom Awad's statistics system VUKOTA was listed on Hockey Prospectus today. It was free when I checked earlier, but I guess not anymore.

Quote:
VUKOTA gained credibility by correctly tabbing the up-and-coming Chicago Blackhawks as 2010 Western Conference champions. And as far as individual projections go, David Staples of the Edmonton Journal concluded that VUKOTA was the best for "predicting the point totals of Edmonton Oilers players" for the past two seasons.
http://www.hockeyprospectus.com/arti...articleid=1422

Anyways, it predicted the Hawks would finish 3rd/4th in the league (tied with Vancouver)

Gotta go with what you know, and I know this team (basically) was out first round last year. So I predict a first round exit.

Obviously, unless we get someone like Parise or Suter, we can't improve!

Hopefully Carcillo stays healthy the entire season (I think he a can be a significant contributor), and the big difference from last year would be if Crawford can turn it around. It's possible for this team to be much better without any major changes in personnel.

Same team may = different results, because the team is getting used to one another.

This is the 1st year since the cup year that the team has been the same, and not over turning 10 players on the roster. Chemistry goes a long way.

That said, 2nd round exit, since we have a better defensive corps and Crawford can't get any worse....can he?
