Bernier and the 4th line should be back, they were the backbone of this post season

Bernier must feel like **** right now, feel bad for the guy

Thats why we dont sign him

make him feel bad

make him FIGHT to get back on the team

then we sign him, and make him remember. Make him remember so he plays his ASS off night in and night out, and plays like the first round pick he is

Co-signed. Was mad at first, but I forgive him. The loss is on the whole team, not any one player. Bernier was as instrumental as anyone not wearing goalie pads in getting us as far as we did.

Hope he keeps his chin up.

Still think a team goes to him and says 2.1 mill for 3 years. He can be the best teammate to take a 5 minute penalty in game 6 you can hope for, but Lou better not match that.

If he comes back for like a mill or less, than hell do it. He's better than Boulton and Janssen

******* everyone turning on Bernier now. He played his heart out for this team and all the real Devils fans wont forget that. He's a warrior thru and thru and he plays with guts. I wish he had hit Scuderi harder. I don't regret anything about tonight, I only wish we'd won.

We lost because we can't hit open nets or kill penalties for the WHOLE PLAYOFFS. 90% from regular season to 65% in playoffs? WHAT THE ****!!!!!!!

I feel so bad for bernier. He grew to be one of my favorites after he got called up. He always gave everything he had out there

He definitely deserves to come back, and I think he will. Lou knows that you have to look at the big picture, and Bernier was a crucial part of the Devils best line throughout the playoffs. I love all three of those guys.

If the refs make the right call on the Stoll hit, we might be starting the second overtime.

You can stay, Steve.

I think it's safe to say the whole three-goals-on-one-major deal took a lot of wind out of their sails.

I really don't think there's much he could have done.

He decided from at least the blue line that he was gonna go full speed. At the time, he didn't plan on hitting Scuderi from behind.

But when Bernier is at the goal line at full speed, and Scuderi turns his back, what is he going to do?

Bernier should not be the scapegoat. All the good things from him outweigh the one horrible mistake.

All i know is he was part of our ONLY consistent line in the playoffs.

Bring back the fourth line (on very short deals). If they can do this in the playoffs, they can in the regular season.

I really don't want to be pissed at him, but I definitely still am. Not saying hes the scapegoat but seriously how stupid was that. Yes Gionta just got hit from behind and he wanted payback and Scuds took one for the team, but damn know what the situation is.

My tinfoil hat is definitely on firm.

What's the situation? You're team is playing like ****, the forecheck is non-existent, and if nothing changes you're going to get blown out of the building? So you throw the 400th questionable hit of the Finals, and now it's your fault the team lost?

Jesus man.

As long as his contract isn't exorbitant, I want him back.

Answered all the questions like a professional.

Doesn't this organization take pride in professional behavior?

EDIT - we'll keep this less hostile. The bold is all I had to read to re-affirm my statement. Thanks!

I would take him back on the 4th line if its 4th line money. I'll clarify that since saying something negative about the team is cancerous now. Lord

Yep. This is indicative of a true Devil. Didn't hide, didn't try to shift blame, didn't pout. He took his lumps and answered everything he was asked.
