similarities between Quick and Richter

Am i the only one who sees quick playing a very similar style to richter? Both small goalies who have amazing downlow coverage and lateral post to post movement. And they both even have the same weakness, blockerside.

Quick grew up a Rangers fan and Richter was his favorite goalie. Not surprised to see similarities in their game. I had the pleasure of training with Quick during our college years. Had a feeling he was going to be something special.

I don't think Quick is as.............quick(?) as Richter. Or flexible. That's not a knock because that was Richter's style he was acrobatic in how he played. It either made or broke him and to be honest it certainly isn't a knock to be compared to Richter

Richter was an excellent goaltender and had a knack for the big game. 1994 Finals. 1996 World Cup. Unfortunately he played behind some very sub-par Rangers squads in the late 90s and early 2000s. I'd put him in him in the Hall of Very Good, with guys like Vernon and Barrasso. As far as pure athleticism goes, he was a marvel.
