Am excited for w&w, knife party, and Dash berlin

I wish they had more trance on electric zoo, but the contract with edc ny made it so almost anyone who played there couldn't play at electric zoo

I'm not a big trance guy. I like funky house and stuff like that though. The fun stuff, nothing too intense. And some of the Caribbean inspired stuff that guys like Diplo, Savage Skulls, Douster and Crookers are doing. Some of that stuff has really fun energy, better party music than big room European house, at least by my tastes.

Pretty bush league by Pearl Jam.. Not sure why it's a big deal for artists to have their sets streamed online

Did they not allow it?

They've had feuds with major ticket providers in the past, maybe they have some issues with something somewhere.

They were set to be streamed from 9 to 11 online. 9 rolled around and the stream just went to replays of earlier sets of different artists

Yep, ticketmaster and livenation

If they had a problem with it, why even sign on to the event?

Also, I posted on Facebook about it yesterday and I'll post my thoughts here.

It's time the area gets a serious yearly festival. The Made In America festival doesn't count because it was thrown together in a few months. I'm talking a full scale electronic music festival or even a full scale rock music festival. The city has 6 million residents in the metro area. The festival could be held near the art museum like the MIA festival was, in Fairmount part, or even all down near the arenas.

It would bring a ton of revenue to the city and if the promoters are serious, it could work out very nicely

Got that nice "punch in the gut" type of feeling when something goes wrong and there's not a whole lot you can do at around 2 am this morning.

I'm dogsittingx5 (yes, 5 dogs) for someone and right before I go to bed I intended to use the restroom right quick, and the dogs jumped up and down like they could also do the same. I let them out in the yard, return about 1-2 minutes later to realize 2 are missing. The gate was open, but I didn't leave it as such. And since it was dark when I let them out, I didn't notice it ajar, I just assumed it was still shut.

Called SPCA and left a report, drove around for about 2+ hours to no avail. I finally realize that I probably wont find them, and hope that they stick together since they know each other and someone finds them and calls either the phone number on the tag of their owner, the phone number of the rescue shelter they were adopted from that's on the tag as well or the SPCA.

I couldn't sleep. About 50 minutes ago I get them both back home safely. Did they stick together? Nope. One was found near a gas station and I assumed the people that found him called the SPCA because my cell was called directly, as I left my number with them. As I was running out to get this dog thinking "well at least 1 is found" I find another gentlemen standing outside the door saying he's found the other dog. Both were thanked profusely.

As for their whereabouts they were both about a mile or so from home, and probably about 2 miles apart from each other. Guess they don't like each other as much as I thought. As for the mystery of the gate I have 3 hypotheses:
  • 1 - The dogs opened it themselves with their nose.
It's just a simple gate latch, and I've known dogs to figure out how to open them. Heck, my previous dog, who shall RIP, figured this out as soon as he grew to the height required to do so. Although if these dogs did this it's news to me because I wasn't aware they knew this trick.
  • 2 - Random ********* opened the fence.
It is a holiday weekend and it was late. Who's to say some half drunk kids/adults just were out farting around and did this on purpose or not?
  • 3 - Shopping circulars delivery man.
I was alerted by a neighbor that the man who drops off the circulars uses the gate in question and might have left it open. This might be true, but I found no circulars. And it would be an odd time for delivery of said papers.

One might think "hey, where's *4 - your own error?" While that makes perfect sense offhand, I'm always aware of closing gates when entering/exiting domiciles where pets are often in the yard. Plus I let them out earlier in the night with no troubles, and I didn't leave the house between then and the 2am debacle.

I think I'll go sleep now, I'm a wreck.

I don't have tons of money to throw at artists.. But I'd love to get a job with a promoter in the city.

And someone played this last night and I know you are a fan of Crookers

Yeah that remix isn't too bad. There is a skream remix of it also that is pretty good except for this stupid Drum n Bass style break in the middle of it. I tried to make an edit of it so i could put it in a mix I made but it was too choppy. My DJ-fu is pretty weak.

This Crookers remix was pretty tight.

Not bad.. Not really type of my music but it's pretty good..

I first learned of Crookers back in 2008 when they remixed Kid Cudi's song

That's not the version i wanted in the video, the remix I thought that was had a vocal on it.

That was probably the first really good remix they did too. I don't think there is too much before that worth getting into.

Had that happened to me, I'd probably just make a break for Mexico.
