Depends where that offer is from. Say the king offer 3 millon and the leafs offer 3.5. I would fully expect him to accept the la offer. He wouldnt want to move east. He perfers the west coast. Now if that offer comes from Van or colorado ( not saying there interested just using as example) He might take it. Just cause theres more money doesnt mean a person s going to take it.

As far as stoll goes i wouldnt be surprized to see him sign cheaper here. Hes like the cali life style new house as well. The only way they do sign in la is if parise doesnt. I cant see them all on the kings in sept.

I don't believe for a second that Lombardi won't open the vault to get Parise to LA. Few teams have managed the cap as well as DL has and no way won't Parise be interested in coming to the SC Champs.
My thoughts are Quick gets $6-$6.25mil and Penner and maybe Stoll go elsewhere with their rings for a big pay day. Gagne probably retires now that he has his ring and the Kings go a shopping. Someone said Parise won't head West, but he got a taste of what Richards and Carter got by coming to LA (beaches,LA, not to mention a SC ring) and knows they will be a favorite to get more. I'm sure he likes the fight LA has on their team going forward. Don't forget the Kings are the 3rd youngest team and the farm system is still full of talent.

Hasn't Parise already signed with the Red Wings?

Nope, not yet. CarvinSigX wants the Blues to sign Parise.

Edit: For the record, I believe he'll stay with the Devils.

Penner said after the game that he WANTS to stay in LA. He regrets leaving the Ducks for $ after his first Cup run and does not want to make the same mistake again. He loves the team and wants to continue to be a part of it.

Sounds to me like he is not just looking for $$$$$. A reasonable offer could easily have him staying in LA.

There isn't a team in the NHL that doesn't want Parise.

Predicitions for LA:

Stoll gets 3 years, $10.5 million to stay in LA

Penner gets offered 1 year at $3.25 million and takes it to July 1st before re-signing shortly thereafter

Fraser gets 2 years, $2.1 million to stay in LA

Bernier is dealt for a first rounder and a mid round pick at the draft

Loktionov is dealt for a 2nd rounder and a collegiate prospect

Drewiske is dealt for a 6th or 7th rounder, or comboed with a later pick for a 4th or 5th

Gagne stays and give it a final shot next year

Hickey or Muzzin takes over the 7th defense spot

Zatkoff re-signs and is given the spot as backup in camp, to keep or lose

No Parise, no major shake-ups, and Lombardi keeps his cap space to use in the event of injury or complacency

Dean would be doing his job. Just like every GM out there will try to do. I don't know why its such a big deal to some here.

He sticks with the Devils though!

Adding Parise could be pretty smart in more than just the obvious ways. Imagine if there were no major roster changes and this same Kings team tried to repeat next year. They might ultimately lack the drive to get it done, like most recent Cup champs, who have bowed out in the 1st rounds the following years. There wouldn't be anything fresh about it. Now, imagine if they were to add a major new piece, a former captain who gives his all, and, on top of that, a guy that they were responsible for denying a Cup. They might rally around helping that guy get back to the Final and win it for him. That could be just the sort of thing to give the team the extra shot of purpose that they may need to make another run.

It's just going by the history of free agency. Big names like Parise that have their pick of anywhere have usually gravitated toward the northeast corridor, unless some other team offers more money(or has a younger brother on the team).

The Kings can say they won a Cup, but that doesn't help Parise now. The Kings could easily not win another cup for a long time, if ever. That's why it takes more money to get a guy out west. Teams in the East have great travel, they're on TV all the time, they can offer the same money the Kings might, and have the same chance to win a Cup in the future.

I'll take Parise on the Kings any day of the week, but it's as likely as a team winning their first 10 road games in the playoffs, never trailing in 4 different playoff series, and going up 3-0 against 4 different teams in one playoff season.

Kings have a great team right now. Parise would add considerable to their cap IMO which is why I doubt DL will go there. Brown will up up for renewal shortly and Quick will get a ******** of money as well...

If they do get him...I'll take a leave of absence from hockey. Call my when the Kings Dynasty is over

I was thinking about this last night and the example of Hossa popped up. The guy was a Penguin who lost in the Final to the Red Wings, so what did he do that Summer? He signed with the Red Wings and got to the Final again the next year... only to lose to the Penguins. Parise could sign with the Kings and help them to the Final for a second year in a row, only to wind up facing the Devils... and, this time, losing to them. He might be better off just re-signing with the Devils; you never know.

Also, like Hossa, who won with the Blackhawks after losing to the Penguins, it might work out better for Parise to sign with an up-and-coming team. It's quite possible that 2013 will find yet another team winning its first ever Cup, like the Nashville Predators or St. Louis Blues. He shouldn't get tunnel vision and think that the Kings and Devils are his best shots, since, a year ago, people probably thought the same of the Bruins and Canucks.

We in LA don't believe in this top six stuff. We have a top NINE.
