Ah the Ice Bears! Went to a playoff game this year. Tremendous atmosphere. Mediocre hockey. Great city. Good for Matt.

Berlin will probably be an excellent personal experience for Lashoff, though it looks like he's stepping further away from his NHL career at this point.

Not surprising. Has not been able to crack the line up in the big club, not a huge lost but a lost.

I think it points to the sign our blue line is going to get some change with prospects coming over to the AHL.

Meh, he never worked out anyways. We have other defensemen that I prefer anyways.

ummm, what? Our defensive depth is fine. So we lost two marginal AHL dmen. The draft is 10 days away and free agency a few weeks. This is hardly anything to cry about.

I thought Lashoff looked pretty good in his stint with the team last season, but he's far from irreplaceable. Oh well.

Meh.

I like Lashoff, and would've liked to see him stay, but it's not a major loss to Leafs organization. I'm sure Eakins will miss him, though, as he had a massive hard on for the guy.

Hopefully this means Gysbers gets more ice time next season... he's a guy who has been underused in my opinion.

Maybe one of our Swedish defensive prospects come over as well now?

The source says that only one of those three will likely be signed. So, while i would choose Lashoff over Katic or Parent, it's not that sure that he will sign there.

Good for him.

I really liked his game when he was healthy and i thought he could provide solid depth for the Leafs.

Injuries have really slowed him down while he was here.
