No saying he will, or should. But it has to be an option if you have the opportinity to add a top talent.

If we landed Suter, Scuderi to Philly for a 1st would pretty much be a given

I think some of you should listen to the Lombardi interview from the NHL channel. He pretty much said he will make moves from within. I'm sure he is standing in front of all his people with his markers and his boxes and he sees now with Carter, Gagne back and Clifford healthy, he has extra forwards. I don't see them adding anyone honestly.

I doubt he wants to go to LA. Fringe offensive players usually go to a bottom feeder for top 6 mins, so they can put up points and make themselves more valuable.

There's this new invention called irrigation that the Sumerians came up with around 5000 BC.

Doan owes his farm in Arizona to them.

I did? Where? I've been saying Doan isn't coming here. I do think there's a big difference between 35 (Doan) and 40 (Whitney), though.

I suggested Stempniak as well, I think he could be a good fit...but I don't think he's a direct 2nd line plug-in if (when) Gagne goes down. Although he had a better year than Penner, he doesn't have the same skills (read: size) that make Penner, when he feels like playing, such a successful component of the Penner/Richards/Carter line.

All this is on the HUGE assumption that Gagne is penciled in on the 2nd line next year - if he is, he's a big key.

Maybe we'll be trading Bernier for that durable, sniping 2nd line winger?

The more I think about this the more convinced I become that Penner's not coming back......

You could be right, but that doesn't making discussing it any more fun....

According to Elliotte Friedman, the upper limit for the upcoming season is going to be $70.2m, that is unless it is changed as a result of a new CBA.

$5.25M per year for 5 years for Dennis Wideman. Let the overpayment begin.

Omg, the Flames are ridiculous lol Jay Feaster is just ruining that team. They re-signed Dennis Wideman to a 5-year contract, worth 5.25/each year. That's such an overpayment, imo

CAL still in re-build denial. They should be selling when their older assets (Iginla, Bouwmeester, Kuprusoff) while they still have value.

Gaustad went for a 1st at the deadline, Flyers are desperate for defence, Holmgrem would give up a first for Scuderi

People still think Scuds and Greene are over paid ? LOL

Combined Scuds and Greene almost make less than Wide.

Reading the Calgary board, they're beside themselves.

Enjoy 9th-12th place in the west.

You guys need to get out of here with that stuff.

Suter is going to get 7m plus from some team.

You don't tie up 14 mill of your cap in two D guys.

We have our 7mill D man (Drew)

And when you can pick between the Wings or the Kings. You pick the Wings EVERY SINGLE TIME.

The kings have sucked for DECADES. One Cup doesn't change that.

Suter, Parise ETC could Care less the Kings won a Cup. THEY DON"T CARE.

These guys Care about MONEY, Hockey Market, TRAVEL, Champ pedigree. The Kings rank last in three of those.

So tired of these Pipe dreams.

Why would you tie up 14 to 16 million cap space in Two Defenders ?
