Meh. Writing a Latin phrase as if it were an English word isn't exactly a grammar/sentence structure thing. Plus I've seen people write "persay" many times in many places. If you already knew it was "per se" but decided to write it the wrong way anyway, just consider it a lesson for everyone else who didn't know. Haha

Maybe, but it isn't easy to get into the bottom 3 picks. It'll cost pieces.

JVR+Flyers 1st +Mez+Bob for 2nd overall is an easy trade to make for the Flyers.

I could see if it was JVR and our 1st possibly if the kid is a certified future star at blue line but not for that rumored price. Even still I think I'd rather stand pat then move up, either way I'm pumped for the big day tomorrow.

Im actually for the idea of getting Nash. Some of you are saying oh we have offense but our 3rd leading scorer is gone and ou second who only had 67 had by far a career year a the age of 30. Giroux is good but dont expect him to be hitting 100 or even 90 again without adequate talent. People are also underrating our defense a lot here.

I'd rather get Nash. That is a TON to give up for a pick, especially when whomever we pick is not like some legendary type of player. If Murray or Reinhart or whomever the top guy is on Defense in your mind were a lock to be a #1 d-man, then ok. But from what I have read about them is that they are pretty good bets to be top pairing guys, with Murray having a shot to be a #1. That's a lot to give up for a guy who may top out at a second pairing guy.

That could be our trademark. Sign young players to long term deals, then trade them to columbus. CBJ in return gives us overpayment since no one will sign their.

Still no even with Meszaros out.

Murray =/= Doughty.

I would however do Meszaros + Bobrovsky + Cousins + 1st. CBJ doesn't do it, but it's much closer.

I think Cousins is an asset people are under-utilizing. With Couturier and Schenn in Philly, Cousins could seriously be available.

What does Cousins realistically project to be (as in, not his absolute ceiling, but where do you think he will realistically wind up playing on this team or any team)?

3rd line center, but Holmgren is VERY high on him. If Holmgren is high on him, I could see him being an appealing prospect; maybe not the center of a deal, but a valuable asset on the market with the value of roughly a mid-high 2nd/similar value to Bobrovsky in terms of needs of the other team.

For someone who's seen him, Brad Marchand-lite?

Hmm. That's a type of a player I wouldn't mind hanging on to. If he does turn out to be something I feel like his stock will get higher than it is now. Plus if Homer does wind up dealing one of Schenn Cooter, that opens a hole on the third line. Ugh. Can't wait until the madness ends.

Same, I think the only guarantee in this draft is Yakupov

It's not a bad comparison. Same pain in the ass, same turtling, can score. I wouldn't shed a tear if he was out of the Flyers organization.

If Schenn goes for Yandle....I wouldn't think Cousins would have a shot at the team would he? I've heard he's still a year at least away...

LeBrun: They're keeping tabs on Nash, and have loved Ryan for a long time. From what I'm hearing, the one player that the Ducks would want back in any deal with the Flyers would be Brayden Schenn. As far as I'm concerned, I think that's a "no go" for the Flyers.

This is in relation to Bobby Ryan but it also can apply to Yandle as well.

not suprising... flyers are obviously really high on schenn, being the centerpiece of the richards deal. Why would they deal any of the young guys they traded away their franchise cornerstones for? Schenn isnt going anywhere. neither is couturier, voracek..
