I alluded to it in a previous post, but I agree that 8/Metro is pointless to upgrade to if you're without a capacitive touchscreen. However, my interest in Windows on ARM has certainly piqued with Microsoft's Surface keynote. The unveiled design was pretty nifty and clean, and it looked like a fun, versatile tablet that could seriously replace some desktops with proper software development. As for it's costs, I believe they said Surface 8 RT will be priced to compete with ARM tablets, while Pro, with it's i5 processors, will compete with the ultrabook market; so the RT will be a several hundred dollars less than the more powerful $800-1000 i5 versions.

Our group at work, particularly my boss and myself, has been moving more towards "dev ops" than pure development in the past year. There are talks of it being move further, and more rapidly, in that direction soon. That'd be pretty interesting.

So in the spirit of that, I got my first experience with VMWare vSphere. Checked out what our development network map looked like. Almost 700 virtual machines. Jebus.

Guess it's a Transformer Prime for me then.
Based on a short hands on viewing at Best Buy and some online research the Prime is definitely becoming on of the things Im considering bringing into next semester.

All your IT speak is making me feel inadequate.

I'll counter with the Baja skiboat that I'm going to test drive tonight with a Chevy 454 big block engine. It has to be hot or jacked for the price he's asking, but I'm gonna look at it anyways.

Tore a muscle in my bicep late last week, so I have to skip lifting this week. I decided to go to the gym last night and just do some cardio. Despite not doing any kind of running for probably 3-4 months, I was still able to do a 12 minute mile. Nothing great, but I was fairly happy since I've never been good at running.

I suck at running. Hate it. That said, I did 2 miles on lunch.

It doesn't help that it's just so damn boring. I can skate for hours at a time, but running for 20 minutes feels like it takes 4 days.

Tomorrow is going to suck and certainly not in the good type of way.

Our entire register and back computer system changes over tomorrow. Installing 4 registers/new back computer all of which have a totally different program than we currently run. Yup... I smell a 14 hour day incoming.

I like running, it clears my mind. After a few miles I enter a type of zen state. Afterwards I feel refreshed if that makes any sense.

I have to increase my milage soon...my 15K is coming up on July 8th and so far the longest I've gone in one run is 5 miles.

Without knowing you or what you do, here's some unsolicited information.

I hate running too. Or at least did. I can tolerate it now, and sometimes even like it.

I'm in the military and have to run, though I'm far more into weight training, and have only ever been an average to above-average runner. So I went all in about February, and did the Runner's World 1/2 Marathon training program. I got a lot better, and with that improvement, so went my thoughts on running. I ran the Fredericksburg USMC Historic Half and had a blast.
