It doesn't. The Lions are snowed in at the airport and decided to use Calgary Jr Div III Sir Winston Churchill High School as ringers to take their place for this game.
I'm not quite sure what to think about this game. First I went "oh well", then I laughed. Then I sighed. Then I facepalmed. Now it's just that kind of morbid curiosity that you get like seeing a warehouse burn down or watching cars get fed into a compactor at a junkyard.
(yes, I did look up a listing of Calgary-area high school football teams to make that joke. That's what this game has done to me. )
"Do you know what "nemesis" means? A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent."
13-14 Sharks CI Feed Tracker: 29 GP |8-11-10 (SJ-Opponent-Van/Nat'l) www.bluejayshipsters.comWe liked the Blue Jays before it was cool. Sorry, I am not taking signature requests at this time.
My one remaining interest in this game is to see how quickly everyone on the TSN panel gets off the Mike Reilly-to-Ottawa train at halftime. Last week, Schultz was basically anointing Reilly as the eventual starter for the expansion team when it kicks off. I wonder if they'll say he doesn't even deserve to get picked up now.
