Kadri can't even make the Leafs and now he is a top 3 on a NHL team? Lupul just had a career year, look at his past seasons, you are way over-rating him.

Kessel himself, who just had a career year went for two first round picks.

No way Columbus makes the trades you are proposing.

Of course Columbus can do this and have the #1 next year.

dont crap your pants alright!
Yep. An off night against Toronto is totally what people will remember from 24/7. And Toronto fans wonder why the rest of the hockey world laughs at them.

Also, sense and knowledge are two very different things. Even in Canada.

Head start on the MacKinnon sweepstakes, tbh.

You're one of the first Toronto fans I've seen that would actually take that deal. Are you not as high on Gardiner as others or are you higher on Nash?

So we are only allowed to comment on threads involving our own teams?

Kudos to you on your regular season win. Just like I wouldn't take leftovers away from a homeless man, I'll let you enjoy it.

I wouldn't make that deal, not because I don't like Nash, not because I think Gardiner or 5th is untouchable, just because for once I'd like the team to do it the long patient way rather than the quick fix way. We've been trying that for 45 years, let's try something else...

probably a combination of both. but really bro, you think Howson would take that deal? maybe you're right, not to sure.
the only reason i would see it truly needed to hold on to Gardiner if it was truly to help us sign Schultz. no tampering necessary haha

I agree with this. i hope Burke doesnt trade the 5th unless its to move up. Gardiner is not untouchable in my eyes. cause if he slumps this year im gunna lose my mind...

There are three people who know Nash's actual trade list. Not "sources believe", not "reports indicate", not "it's believed that"...actually knowing the list is something that three people are privy to.

Just something to keep in mind.

As an outside observer, I'll say 5th overall, MacArthur, Ross. Should mean they come out of the draft with Murray and Forsberg. CMac should be good for 40-50pts and in turn land a decent pick or prospect at the deadline. Ross joins his buddy Johansen, and should become a solid 3rd liner and super pest (reminds me of Ott).

Because Kadri can't stick with the 5th worst team in the NHL, and Lupul fed off of Kessel, that's why. Even though Nash wants out, you're going to have to give tons to get him, and if you want then fine plenty of other teams will.

And @ the bold. You seem a bit ********. Can I prescribe some lotion?

and you know this for certain how?
also, if anyone actually cared to read what my actual "fun" proposel. it didn't envole the 5th overall or Jake Gardiner. but its all good.

to me you didnt watch one leafs game in your life. if anything, Lupul plays last year was truly Nash'esk. he dominated opponents, created space, dished of to Kessel on the regular. Lups did all the dirty work not one complaint either. another thing, imo Lups was the MVP of the leafs all year.

Since none of those three people are in the media, I have no idea what you're getting at.

In addition, Dean Lombardi said he had talks with Columbus, and even then he had no idea if the Kings were on "the list" or not.

Those three people, by the way, are Rick Nash, Scott Howson, and Joe Resnick (Nash's agent).

multiple multiple multiple sources including many media outlits suggesting the same exact teams are all wrong. thats fine.
but its common knowledge Howson wanted Gardiner and our 1st round pick only and Burke not wanting to add Gardiner was the sole reason the deal fell through.

Big difference between knowledge and speculation, which you keep confusing.

The actual flow of information coming out of Columbus has been almost completely choked off in the last 2 years. There have been reports of things that were wildly inaccurate, there has been information covered up and hidden that would be reported almost anywhere else, and anyone who lacks have a direct line to the GM doesn't have any idea what's really going on.

To suggest that a bunch of reporters have any idea what's going on, even after it has been proven time and again to be completely removed from reality is crazy.

Let's Get back to the topic on hand, the price of Rick Nash to Toronto. If you find a post improper, report it, don't stir it up.
