No, it seems like all the Wild fans want their roster filled with Minnesota born guys. every year at the draft i hear pierre and bob saying "they really want to draft a kid from minnesota, the fans want it so bad!"
Edit: Like Saugus said, they want stars...and they are stupid for trading away Leddy

there are just so many different levels of dumb to all of this.
Zach's a great player, I love having him on my favorite team, but he's not worth that contract.
Any organization that's dumb and desperate enough to hand out a contract like that to Zach Parise better get used to being desperate.
lol I knew this would come out eventually. At this point, the Wild are being so obvious with this if they ever do make that offer or something close, it just puts them in more hot water.
I don't know who Darren Wolfson is, but that strikes me as nothing more than any of us speculating as to what a potential offer would be. They may as well screen grab someone posting "I think the Wild will give Parise 12 years/100 million" and call it a "source."
Well if this is not tampering at this point I really would love to know what is! Too many ddifferent articles and sources reporting on this. I think its safe to say that we all want an investigation to take place regardless of whether Parise stays or goes.

Normally, I'd agree with you.
But Nanne said the Wild have a number in mind and they know what they're going to offer Parise. I wouldn't be surprised if the actual figures are "accidentally" getting leaked.
So far, every rumor I see keeps coming back with a ridiculous cap hit around $9 million. One can only hope that's bogus.
I still don't think he wants to be part of rebuild..
I don't think he does either, but money can be very persuasive.

He definitely isn't worth it. I hope he's smart enough to know that he could never live up to the pressure of a contract like that. Having seen it firsthand with Kovy as a teammate, he must know how difficult it is.

No, it's not safe to say that. I need more than a former GM saying he had dinner as proof. Lou Nanne's words mean as much to me as "Kovy had a twinkle in his eye brah. Sather's gonna make him an offer he can't refuse."

The organization didn't say anything. Some reporter did.
