If Jagr doesn't sign with the Flyers...

Hypothetically...

Assuming Jagr does not resign with the Flyers and he says he wants to come back for just one more season and he wants retire the "right way" as a Penguin.

Would you want him back?

Spoiler alert, he is not coming back. Ever.

edit: but to answer your questions...
Don't care if he comes back or not.
He will not sign for under $2M

I think Jagr burnt the bridge a little to badly. The towns people don't want to rebuild it again.

However...for $550k on October 4th...sure.

You forgot the "No, people need to get over him because he's not that good anymore at any price" option.

I'm gonna say no, but not because of last summer or whatever. I say it because of how he kinda broke down as the season progressed. During the playoffs he was almost nonexistent. If he took limited minutes, maybe, but I don't see him doing that. Maybe if he had more younger players like Philly does where he could be a vet, but in the situation with Pittsburgh, I just don't see it working out.

In all honesty, no. He wasn't even that great this year. Didn't he go a mere 20 games without a goal at the end of the year?

He wouldn't be much of an upgrade, not to mention he'd get a very bad vibe here.

If you think Crosby ****ed up the chemistry during his return, imagine Jagr's.

He had the chance last summer to comeback and retire the right way as a Penguin. It would have been such a cool thing and great for his legacy here. It was the type of thing legends probably dream of doing late in their career but in typical Jagr fashion, he chased after the money. The guy just doesn't get it. No way will Mario welcome him back now and Shero has never really been a Jagr fan anyway. I think the Pens interest last summer was pushed more by the ownership side than management.

He's never coming back, and yeah people need to get over him, but the guy was pretty solid this year. He's a guy that could honestly benefit from playing 55-60 games per season to stay fresh for the playoffs. Him with Crosby and Kunitz would be a menace to get the puck away from.

But yeah, before anyone gets excited, NO. GOD NO. IT'S JUST NOT HAPPENING.

Which part of the last twelve years has made anyone think Jagr gives a **** about playing for Pittsburgh again?

He'd give a **** about playing here if we offer the most money. The guy doesn't care about the city, the team or his legacy here though. I don't get it but that's how he is. We all know the deal with him.

He'd go to whoever pandered to his ego the most, whoever made him feel the most important. Its status more than money. It's why he didn't even bother to respond to our offer last time, because we didn't do enough fawning and had the audacity to re-sign our own players first.

And you know why. Mentally, he hasn't aged a day since he was 19.

I still love Double J. I'd have him back for the right price. But it's not going to happen.

Jaromir Jagr can kiss me where the sun don't shine and I don't mean London. He had his chance last year, he trolled us one too many times, I hate him and never want to see him again as a Penguin.

Not needed. He still has gane left but he picks up a lot of PP points. Where would he fit on the Pens PP?

Another thing is that he's still a douch. He has a lovefest with Philly all year then as soon as he's off the first unit PP he says he might not come back. Same ol Jags...
