Be prepared to be flamed (and deservedly so) by Oilers fans.

Doubt that gets you Hall alone.

No from the Leafs. Hall and Gagner aren't what we need.

I'm a Leafs fan
I'm a huge Taylor Hall fan

I don't think I'd do this as a Leafs fan, Hall is better than the 5th overall...but Gardiner is WAY better, with WAY more potential than Gagner.

We have Connolly and Lombardi who are like Gagber and we cant give them away!

LOL, Most people would give their left nut for Hall. Not one player on the leafs lives up to Hall.

As a modified proposal how does Hall for Gardiner and 5th overall work?

Hall is better than the 5th overall? How generous of you?

To be fair, it is a big package coming from Toronto, I just have absolutely no interest in shipping Taylor Hall out. Absolutely none. People (not necessarily Oiler fans) that watch Hall play know he changes the dynamic of the Oiler offence COMPLETELY when he's on the ice.

People can talk about him being "injury prone", but Im all for holding onto him and seeing what happens. His ceiling is far beyond what many on this site peg him at imo.

Sens fan here who would be shocked if Hall is ever as good as Kessel. 37 goal, 82-pointers aren't that common and nothing I've seen from has shown he'll be that good.

As a Toronto fan I wouldn't want to do this trade. It's not that I don't like the value on our end, and it's not that Hall is a bad player (he isn't.) but he's not the piece we're looking for in Toronto.

If you havent seen anything from Hall that shows "he'll be that good", then you really havent seen the kid play much. He's had a couple injury plagued seasons, and already in his second season he scored at a 71pt 36g pace. On the second worst team in the league (also below average in scoring).

That's ignoring that he is much more physical than Kessel, and i would also speculate Hall is the better leader.

You must have only seen his bad games then... He's definitely the Oilers' most dominant, dynamic and important forward. Future captain too.
