Get a used A4 or S4 such incredible cars. If you tune them they become absolute beasts! Turbo cars are a blast to drive!

I can't be the only one who misread imports as escorts.

even rear wheel drive cars are good in winter if you have traction control and decent winter tires.

btw, if I had to deal with the two Calgary BMW dealerships, I would not buy a BMW. The shops are very pricey and the service is average to poor. I ended up buying my last BMW in the US and saved a fortune. I once told BMW Canada that they should include some lubricant and whiskey next time I deal with them. It would make the process less painful.

BMW used to have the best made vehicles but the gap is definately closer. They are certainly not worth the premium you pay, especially if you aren't buying an M series. The M series are fair value.

But a used A6 with dealership warranty and you are set.
This. I have imported 2 ferraris. I flip cars. Hondas and Audi cars are very good.

you cant go wrong with either a BMW or Audi, a bearmer is a beamer, my friend has one and he loves it and it does very well in the winter. the thing with the Audi is that it is now owned by VW which gives you more places to service it and if you get the quattro in the audi it comes with all wheel drive, as for a Benz they are always nice but they are kind of generic now you see them everywhere. hope that helps, i am so jealous of europe though htey have the best selection of cars to choose from.

From the title I thought the thread was questions about fantasy hockey drafts of some sort or possibly overseas porn/escorts. Turns out neither so it's boring.

I've never had any real problems with the Aston, though it doesn't get a lot of miles put on it. Really just back and forth to work in the summer. I suppose, if I put 60K a year on it, things may be different.

Most expensive, high-maintenance, in-the-shop vehicle -> Range Rover.
What kind of aston martin do you have? I love those cars, they must be the most rare exotic in the city. I've only seen one and it's on the southside.

They seem to be in the league of cars where, if you can afford one you can afford to maintain them, along with ferrari's and lambo's.

My sister had a range rover, her dream car. Got a good deal on a used one. She had to ditch it within a year because it was so unreliable and expensive to maintain.

DBS, we have a Range Rover too .... we've paid for it twice from all the repair work.

Daily Drive. Just did a quick google and it's been described as the most reliable Aston in recent memory, so maybe yours is the exception to the rule.

My favorite Aston btw.

thanx for the tips, boys. leaning more towards Audi, now. gonna wait about a year or 2, as i'm gonna enjoy no car payments for a while. still might do with a cadilac as our Escalade is sweet (but the wife drives it a helluva lot more then me!!).

test drives will commence and the research continues.

thanx again.

Jesus how do you people afford these expensive cars, or even want them? For what it's worth - and I've never owned or even driven an Audi, although I know family and friends who have owned them in the past - I've heard nothing but negative things in terms of maintaining them and especially parts. You also don't see many on the roads in comparison with beamers and benzes. I only mention this because to my surprise I see people praising Audis when I've heard the complete opposite about them.

If you want to maintain a car, buy euro.
If you don't want to maintain, buy japanese.
I don't know why you would want to buy NA... Unless it's a ZR1.

Joe you'll be happy to know that I finally made my way to the second season of Fitz this past weekend. I forgot how damn good that show was. After 90210 I didn't think Jason Preistly could ever do anything worth while, but I also felt the same about David Duchovney(sp?) until Californication came out. Maybe his character is just hilarious because Hank is a sex addict like his real life personality.

I'm happy you made it through, but on a beautiful long weekend?

I like Call me Fitz, I didn't think I would though. The whole Larry angle is a bit out there, but it worked.

I only watched two episodes and they were both late at night when thunderstorms were going on.

I tend to look at vehicles as transportation, with safety being a higher priority then how many speeding tickets and huge bills I can rake in.

We've all been in vehicles with "the ride" and aside from that thrill I'm not paying several times over just for a better driving experience.

Vehicles are the worst investment anybody ever makes. A lot of people are making even worst investments in the higher range vehicles. Theres no way to justify it beyond "toy".

Completely agree. I have a lot of friends that have spent stupid amounts of money on their cars and it just doesn't make sense to me, especially at a young age where there are much better things to spend money on (school, travelling, fun activities in general, etc.). I have never been a "car guy", I have a decent car that isn't too old and gets me around comfortably, that's all I need.

It means you have an infraction on your account. Since there is zero in the brackets I would guess that it was more of a warning against you as opposed to an infraction. I believe the one on the left means warning and on the right means infractions, number in the parentesis means infraction points and if you get too many point you loose priviledges like avatars and pm box space.

Guys I'm deciding on a new car it will be between

2012-13 VW Golf 2.5L

or

2012-13 Subaru Impreza 5 door AWD

Subaru is the smart choice I believe (AWD for snow)

but the Golf is beautiful!

Anyone know of any reasons to not buy either car?
