Just took a look at your site and scouting report on Schmaltz specifically and it looks like exactly what my report on him is. Good work.

Does the Guide get sent via e-mail or are you brought to a DL screen after submitting your e-mail?

Thanks Dynamo.

It's too big to send via email so you are brought to a download screen. I believe you can either view it via your web browser or download it to your hard drive.

Bill Ladd,

I love this site, extensive content, great perspective and just a quality all around source. It's nice and simple.

If you're looking for more update graphics/site design let me know and I can show you some of my work. I'm not looking for money but I just really enjoy your site and like little projects outside of work.

Hopefully the site stays free!

Thanks for the kind words and the offer Zack. I'll PM you my email address and we can talk about collaborating on site design.

I say the mock draft is spot on (barring trades) for the top 15 picks. Nice work with the profiles too.

Can't complain too much about the mock...I mean the guide is great, but just for that second round...Ducks really don't draft Russians...Slepyshev would make sense at 50 or lower. Just going off of who is available past 36 in the mock, they'd probably look at Laughton, Frk, Pearson, Matteau, Sissons, Kosmachuk, Schmaltz, Winther...I can go on and on.

Didn't the Ducks draft a Russian goalie recently? Either way, it's a fair point, they certainly don't make a habit of it [drafting Russians]. We just really like Slepyshev's skillset, (have him rated inside the top30) and thought he could be a nice potential, eventual heir to Selanne as the offensive catalyst for a second scoring line in Anaheim.

Good reading so far.

Found a mistake, Tanner Richard's stats are actually Anton Zlobin's, but outside of that so far this is really well done.

I'd be devastated if the Canucks choose Wilson with the 26th pick in the draft.

Thanks for the guide, good stuff.

Minor correction for the Mock Draft, the Caps own the 54th pick (part of the Varlamov trade)

(Edit: just remembered that they exercised the option on Friday)

Great job with what little I've seen. I look forward to seeing more once I get home to my computer.

Just fyi, Dallas has the Kings 2nd rounder. It was traded to PHI for Richards, then it was flipped to Dallas fir Grossman

Yeah, I was a little confused at first too. After you receive that second e-mail, go back to the first e-mail you received and click the "Yes, subscribe me to this list" button and it should bring you to a page where you can download/view the PDF file.

Great read, by the way.

One thing I noticed though was you have Andrew Ryan's write-up where Joakim Ryan's should be.

Did you get it sorted out? Once you confirm your request you should be taken to a page where you can download the PDF- no excel required.

My email address is right there in the emails as well so if you have any problems don't hesitate to send me a note and I'll take care of it.

OT: Thanks for all the kind words from everyone in the thread. It's much appreciated. And thanks for catching the couple of errors in there. I'm working on fixing them now.

They did but that was in the later rounds and I believe Bobkov was under a OHL contract already. He was verbally very committed to the North American game. I haven't seen any of that from Slepyshev. I just smell typical latter round Russian KHL guy all over him. But I think the Ducks would have their mitts all over Sissons. They've built a large group of offensive catalysts as far as forwards go. Then they have guys like Rakell and Smith Pelly...I think what they saw and loved in Smith Pelly they'll see and like in Sissons. He really reminds me of Ryan Callahan. A captain who will do anything to make his team win. Not saying Sissons will be a Ducks captain but he'll play with the kind of heart and soul that Anaheim needs. The Ducks really turn on when they see one guy really pushing themselves. The problem is not enough of our guys do that yet. Sissons seems perfect.

As for the rest of the ranking...it really seemed to get strange past 150. Like erratic.

And I'll say you guys seriously undersold Esa Lindell. I mean you've obviously seen him more than I have. But from what I've read and heard he's not 150th overall material. Way higher.
