As for the bald man's crazy proposal. Keep in mind Duthie was asking him based on IF Pierre was Edmonton's GM...the crazy part was him trying to make it seem like it could make some sense for the Habs.
Mikhail Grigorenko at 17th They are nuts.

At this stage, Grigorenko going to the Leafs seems highly improbable unless they trade down.

The only way I'd be happy if Subban was traded is if it's to get the first overall pick without giving our 3rd overall wich is impossible.

It would be very nice to see us make a deal and fetch the first overall pick and select both Yakupov and Galchenyuk as first and 3rd overall pick but that's just a dream. Only Burke can pull something like that

This hate is just overblown… Button(not the most clever GM) and Mcguire(Habs hater) put even more hate on Grigorenko by putting him 17th overall..

I'm done with this. I just wish Grigorenko a good draft and may he be picked by a team that wants him bad and score tons of points for them.

Great post by HFboards member Flareknight:

Yeah, can't say I've seen this kind of hate and criticism on a guy who hasn't really done anything to deserve it. Even when they have reasons like mono they just toss them out the window and just keep on hating on the guy. It's like they've had their fill of Russians (or players who have lived in Russia) and need someone to drop down. The fact that it's reached the level of conspiracy theories about his age just reflects how far this is gone.

Whoever ends up getting him is getting a ridiculous steal thanks to a very strange situation.

The hate for Grigorenko is definitely starting to reach a pretty ridiculous level.

Not sure where this started, but I've actually read some talk on the prospects board that stated he's been lying about his age and that he's actually 20. This is apparently supported by the fact that his mother works for the government.

If we do trade for the 1st overall pick, I wouldn't give up Subban.

3rd overall + Eller + Weber for 1st overall would be my offer.

Trading up for the 1st overall is incredibly dumb this year.

Its like the Russian factor and the same over-familiarity process that dumped Couturier and Fowler in recent drafts had a mutated offspring to produce this.

People should consider what flaws might have turned up in Galchenyuk if he had actually played this year for example. That and the fact that Yakupov and Galchenyuk didn't exactly have any better of a playoff than Grigorenko.

If Grigo is dropping that much Montreal should take Murray 3rd on D then trade for a mid first pick and grab Grigo.

Trade 2013 1st, our 2nd this year and Weber for a mid first this year. Boom we got a stud Dman and a 1st line center. I think we might even have to throw in another prospect or pick to make it happen but it would be worth it. i think Grigo would also be upset for falling so much and would want to prove himself.

Even that I find is a lot. I mean the only thing you're gaining is the opportunity to draft Yakupov instead of Galchenyuk or Forsberg. The difference between all those prospects isn't great enough.

I said it before: I would consider trading Subban only if we were guaranteed to have both Yakupov & Galchenyuk. And that would be either the 1st & 2nd, or the 1st & 3rd with Columbus agreeing to pick Murray or Forsberg.

I am happy to give you all Hockey Lobby's final mock draft of this years NHL Entry Draft. I will copy-paste what I've written on the prospects boards.

Here you go guys, it has been a wonderful season of junior hockey. From the NHL Research and Development Camp, to the World Junior Championships, passing through the CHL Top Prospects game, to finish with the World Under-18s Championship and the Mastercard Memorial Cup, we now found ourselves 3 days from the biggest day for young prospects, the 2012 NHL Entry Draft in Pittsburgh this friday.

I would like to share you guys Hockey Lobby's final mock draft of the season and I would like to remind you all that this is the most more bold version of our mock draft and we might surprise people. To remind you also, this is a not the conventionnal way that the draft should proceed, but more of how we think players will go and fit perfectly with the respective teams.

Enjoy and feel free to comment. Thank you very much and good draft!

He should just quit hockey, it's obvious the hockey world is out to get him!

For sure. So is trading down. After the first 5-7 picks its a total crap shoot. Especially if Grigs drops down to the mid teens, I think you almost HAVE to trade to get him.

No problem. Seems that from what they said, I send them most of the questions so, we'll see how they answer. I already have my own observations, will see if we share it now.
