Toronto NHL tickets at 50%

If the Nhl came to Toronto (2nd team), tickets were 50% percent less and they got good, would you go and cheer them on?

what about play offs?

Pretty sure the NHL is in Toronto already.

And I, among many others, cheer the team on the way things are. Those are what you call fans. It's not about "cheering when they get good", that's a bandwagoner.

No way. I imagine they'd become a pretty big rival pretty fast.

*Assuming you're talking about a second team. If you're just trolling, please stop.

I assume were all hockey fans so if we had the opportunity to go watch it being played at the highest level why wouldn't we go watch?

Might go to a game here and there, but I'd always be a Leafs fan.

There will never be another team in Toronto, though. It'd turn out like the Islanders in comparison to the Rangers.

No. I live in Halifax. I am a Leafs fan, not a Toronto fan.

If we got a second team my attitude would be greatly influenced by the nature of the Team.

If for example the Coyotes franchise moved here, I wouldn't really care much but I might go to some games to see certain teams/players.

If however it was an expansion Team I would take a great interest in them, enjoy watching the building process ( I don't know why but I like second guessing expansion teams. i.e. who I would take in an expansion draft etc) but probably not watch them for the first few years(live).

I can't see liking them the same way as the Leafs because I love the history and prestige of the team but I could see having an affection if I watch them grow up from nothing right here in Toronto.

I would definately go because they would be bankrupt after one year.

And to answer the OP, I would go to root against them given it would be a huge rivalry.

I love that there are dullards that believe:

A) If a 2nd team were to come here, they would be coming here to steeply discount their ticket prices against the Maple Leafs

and/or

B) If a 2nd team were to come here, the Leafs would be forced to drop ticket prices

If anything, Leaf tickets would go up on average for the whole season, because they could stick a premium price on Toronto v Toronto games and still sell every seat, obviously
