Kid fighting out of Kelowna is from my hometown. Don't really know him but from what I've heard and seen from the clips in the house, he hasn't changed much.
He seems like a massive tool. Between him, the pink mohawk guy, and the dude who did the fake glove touch to land a take down, I'd say Nelson's team has it's fair share of douchiness.
Some decent fights. Looks like some fun stuff inside the house this year, but who knows. Its tape delayed here again this year so it takes away a bunch of the intrigue.
Smilin' Sam Alvey fought down here in New Zealand at the start of this year. Lost a pretty dull decision to a young guy here, but he was fighting at 205. Surprised to see him make 170.

He has been fighting at 205/185. He is a huge welterweight.

Michael Hill? I couldn't believe it when I saw him on there, I went to highschool with him for a couple of years. He didn't seem like a bad guy, but always seemed to get himself into fights. MMA is a great thing for people like that, a good outlet for aggressive behavior. That mohawk guy looks like an absolute fool.
Uhhh, I don't get why you posted a picture of Mike Ricci.
There's a guy named Mike Ricci on the show. He looked pretty good in his fight.
Anyone with a mohawk, pink hair, or a pink mohawk deserves to get their ass kicked. I'll definitely be rooting against that guy. The guy from Kelowna and the guy who didn't touch gloves also need to go.
None of the winners from recent seasons are any good when they face UFC level fighters and I'm not expecting this season to be any different. I'll watch mainly just to see the interactions between Dana and Big Country.
I don't know if it's the editing or just Roy Nelson being Roy Nelson but after two episodes, he's not looking too good as a coach. He looks a bit like Rampage did as a coach. In the last episode they showed him texting during one of the fights and just doing his own thing. In this week's episode the practice seemed easy going, his coaching during the fight consisted of yelling the same thing over and over again, and on twitter I think he's taking a shot at Carwin for having his team/coaches do all the work. I remember Rampage saying the same thing about Rashad and Greg Jackson's guys.
His fighter was crap. He was shouting instructions but the guy in the cage wouldnt listen.
Pretty awful fight tbh.
Yea for an experienced BJJ black belt he sure looked out of his element when trying to set up subs. It looked like he was operating in slow motion or something.
Is there anywhere I can catch the first couple episodes? I have the PVR picking it up on FX Canada now, but I missed the first few. With Demonoid down in flames I'm at a loss for finding things online. If someone could PM me a link to a decent source, that would be great.
