Hendo is a warrior, he probably intended on fighting with the injury but the doctors shut him down.

He still should have kept the UFC informed about the the situation. If he had they could have worked on a plan B in advance instead of trying to set everything up last moment.

It is kinda funny that Dana White is willing to put blame on anyone but himself tho.

From Dana? He's been calling the Silva/GSP fight a "fantasy" for years now. It's only recently that it's starting to look like it will actually happen.

We have certainly not been hearing it "for 3 years now", or "for 2 years now". It was something GSP has outright dismissed, Anderson Silva had not specifically angled towards, and something Dana White had referrred to as a dream/fantasy, never having anything specific in mind in terms of a scenario/timeline/catchweight.

This, while entirely not concrete, is much more concreate than anything suggested in the past.

Was not impressed at all with Lombard in his first UFC fight but that might just have been UFC debut jitters. Still think Palhares wins that though.

I like this for the simple fact that it seemed very clear he'd have to take another fight before getting a shot at Silva, so at least it's announced and will be out of the way. That being said, Boetsch has absolutely zero chance.

The weigh ins will look like a Mr. Olympia pose off. It will either in a brutal KO (Lombard) or a bone crushing submission (Paul Harris). Intriguing fight.

me three...

that and the re-match of Davis and Prado...

makes sense that one of these guys could face Glover but who knows... maybe Jimmo gets the call for Glover.

It's not surprising considering how hard these guys train.

IIRC, didnt the UFC recently insure the fighters so that even when they get injured during training, they still get paid? I remember hearing that a while ago, and all of a sudden, fighters left and right have been pulling out of cards with injuries since then. I'm not saying these guys fake injuries, I'm just saying maybe there's no incentive for them to fight through injuries, which I imagine happens often during training, when they'd just get paid anyways.

Yeah I think that's the case. There's just no reason to fight with an injury now that everyone has insurance.

They don't get paid if they get injured. The insurance policy is there so the fighters don't have to pay for medical costs out of their own pockets. The UFC covers their medical bills even if they get injured during training now.

As for Aldo's injury, it had nothing to do with him training too hard. The moron got into a motorcycle accident a month before his fight. When it happened they said the injuries were very minor and he would still be able to fight but I guess the foot injury is worse than they originally thought.
