Sounds like Aldo-Edgar is still plan for the future, though. “@MikeChiappetta: Frankie Edgar will not fight @ UFC 153 http://sbn.to/RJMkHg”

Nice to see Big Nog back.

Is this the new co-main event?

He doesn't feel Weidman is a deserving opponent, but he'll fight Bonnar at 205. Whenever my dislike for this guy wanes a bit there's always something like this to bring it right back.

Good on him for stepping up to save the card, despite it being a squash match. I always like watching him fight so I'm fine with it.

The fight is a month away, he probably doesn't want to put himself through the weight cut on such short notice. It seems petty to fault Anderson for stepping up to save an entire card.

He wants St. Pierre, Weidman is injured and the fight is in 30 days. Be happy we got a Silva fight..

He wasn't going to fight at 185 on short notice. I think he made that pretty clear. He doesn't have to cut any weight for this fight and he gets to headline a card in his home country.

Also, lets be honest here, your dislike for Anderson will never go away no matter what he does or who he fights. You'll bash him before and after every fight regardless. It's always been that way.

Good on both of them for stepping up. Two things are for sure, Bonnar will go balls to wall, and Silva will get a KO.

Can't see Bonnar making it past the 2nd round but you never know. Him and Sonnen are pretty good friends so maybe Chael can give him a few pointers...even though he lost both times.

Bonnars never been finished aside from cuts and is as tough as they come. I wouldn't be shocked to see him make it to a decision considering its only a 3 rounder.

Kudos to Anderson for stepping up, but it's not as if he's put himself in a tough situation or anything.

EXACTLY.

And kudos to Silva for trying to save 2 events now.

And I'm glad he gets to fight in Rio for this one, after getting hosed out of his Rio fight vs Sonnen. He deserves the payday.

It will be a fun fight. Bonnar finally gets the big fight he deserves and the biggest brazilian MMA star gets to fight in his home country.

Works out well for Bonnar. Going to get paid very well, gets a top name fight, headlining a card, and his chin will only have to withstand 3 rounds of Anderson, not 5.

So Forrest has beat Bonnar twice and Silva destroyed Forrest already, this is going to be ugly. Silva will toy with Bonnar for a bit then get bored and knock him out.

Because MMA math clearly works always.

Ryan Bader beat Rampage + Rampage beat Machida = Bader beats Machida

Silva is gonna win most likely but lets not use your logic as to why he will.

I'm willing to bet that in general there's a fairly strong positive correlation between being able to beat a guy that a guy you've already beaten has beat
