US Open Thread

Don't know if there's enough interest here (if not, mods feel free to merge to the Pittsburgh thread).

I plan on doing little else for the next 24+ hours than watch this tournament. Anyone else following this like crazy?

I am. Did nothing but golf in my teens. Wouldn't mind seeing Tiger win another major.

Good chance at an up-and-down par on 1 for Tiger. Furyk in trouble as well. Still think +2 wins this tournament.

First 6 holes are nuts at Olympic. +1 would be a great score through that mark.

So weird to see a 6:07 tee off time. West coast golf, baby. I'm down for a US Open thread as long as we do a US Open Tennis thread, too.

Nothing makes me happier than a primetime major with Tiger in contention on a Saturday. I lead a simple life.

Going to be odd seeing these guys still playing come 10PM tonight.

EDIT: The Tiger iron twirl makes me weak in the knees. Swoon.

Jim's shot goes flying off as if it hit a trampoline, but Tiger's lands softly. Good ole US Open.

Seriously. Furyk's shot darted 90 degrees to his left. Gotta love these greens. And they've been watered, no less.

Tiger probably was hoping for that action. So unpredictable. Two putt from here would be a great result for Tiger.

Can we have a fishing thread?

That's what I'll be doing.

Tiger has reborn and torn down golf. Blah. Can't watch it anymore.

River Monsters is where it's at.

Screw Tiger. He's fun to watch when he's on his game, but I'm enjoying watching other golfers in the spotlight these days. I'd love to see Furyk win another one.

I can't believe Hossler has done so well for so long this weekend. He looks prepubescent.

I'm glad someone other than Furyk or McDowell won it.

Exciting US Open overall. I'm somewhat surprised this thread didn't get much traction. All the hockey players/fans I know love golf, myself included.
