Based on performance alone(which to me ranks higher than seniority) Jake starts opening night

He has earned the starting gig from what I've seen

I agree 100% but Jake Patterson has never really shown any consistency, but then again, never really had the opportunity to. We'll have to see. To me he's never really looked confident in the net...until now. Good sign.

Patterson has never had a bad situation in a London uniform on the ice... he's had some ****** situations being a London Knight though.

Plan and simple he's out performed Ballie... when all is said and done I would reward the better play.

Griffith Broadhurst Domi
Welychka Horvat Tierney
Rupert Rupert Anderson
Elie Pawley Platzer
(Nevins, Jammes, Restoule)

Nevins:Has to serve one game for being the second fight within one stoppage against Plymouth.
Broadhurst:Shown chemistry with Welychka, and with Griffith, look for Dale to move him around from shift to shift. Horvat and him should be interchangeable.
Domi:Fully intends to be cleared to play come opening night. Still is wearing his boot.
Welychka:Already back to 95% after flu.

Harrington Maatta
Hughes Zadorov
Ferry Raine

Raine:Back to 100% after he injured his back while training.

Patterson
Bailie

I feel London will finish in the top 2 in the conference,3rd at worst, though their lineup does not scare me as much as last year, they are going to miss Watson,Knight,Names,McKegg,
Tinordi,Cook and Houser
I know there will be improvement from all those who return thats to be expected for every team, however in goal I think they are weaker,on defence solid but not as good as last year, offensively wont be easy to replace the offence of the 4 forwards above plus Athansiou and not getting a player for him when he was moved, though I know some will mention the picks as movable assets
While I like the London lineup overall,I do think Nevins was a great pickup btw,Restoule not really an older Bilcke I guess
Broadhurst will provide some experience and could be the best pickup the Knights, possible O/A next year to boot
I am sure Hunter will swing deals to overcome any lineup shortages,as has picks to trade and couple of young players that could be moved, though I am talking about their top 9 forwards
I am not trying to incite the Knights faithful just giving an honest appraisal, knowing full well its only the start of the season
Enjoy your season Knights fans should be fun and interesting

Max Domi was out of his boot today.

Good kid with a lot of promise. That being said, Elie and Platzer, assuming that they will now make the team, have done everything in their power to deserve those spots. I can see this years fourth line following in the footsteps of Tierney, Horvat and Anderson last year.

This is the one drawback for a forward on the Knights this year. Pawley (and Platzer) would be on almost any other team's top 9 forwards right now. I want to see them keep all of their forwards for next year because they will be stacked again. But it sucks for a kid in his draft year to not even get 4th line minutes when he's definitely good enough. Last year they managed not to trade any '94s (minus Athanasiou, who wanted out), let's see if they can figure out a way to keep all of the '95s this time. Another thing I noticed, potentially every single forward on the roster right now could return next year. Wow.

I'm not totally sold on Corey Pawley. His size is not there for a 4th line player, but has incredible speed. I think unless he can get a top 9 role, a season split between Junior B and OHL might be better for him. As far as automatically earning a spot because it's their draft year. That has NEVER been a concern for the Hunters. They've sat players like Brett Welychka, Chase Hatcher, Dane Fox and Jake Patterson in recent history. Yes it sucks and it's maddening from a players perspective, but as a fan, you want to see the best team possible.

Back to the point, Corey Pawley will be around this year. He's still attending Saunders, Still attends practice during 5th period (Left today with Platz and Subban) So i'm not totally sure that he's been sent down yet. Lambton probably just has him on the roster because that's where he would play if he were to play Jr. B.

Corey Pawley: Not aware of anything or heard any news that leads him to believe he's playing for Lambton.
Brett Welychka:Did not practice yesterday, might still be recovering.

In other news. Assistant coaches Dylan Hunter and Jeff Paul were at Saunders today. Josh Anderson was the player they were talking to. They could just be visiting their old school, but I still found it very strange.

Yes. More or less. Couple players on that list could play junior B at some point this season.

Max Domi at 194 is pretty hard to believe. 9 lbs lighter than Horvat, I don't see it possible. Max is a solid forward and I expect him to have a solid year playing in the top 6. He will definitely go in the top 40 along with Horvat. I haven't seen Zadorov as of yet but as CS and mocks have suggested he may be the first or second Knights player selected in the draft.
