Kevin Raine is good to go.

Players that would play junior B would play St. Mary's, London, Lambton or possibly St. Thomas somewhere close.

With the uncertainty of the NHL lockout, and what will happen for training camps. The Knights wont be cutting anyone until they get more info. Alot of guys will be living in London but playing out of town junior b until everything is figured out...

In other news. Kyle Platzer may be the latest one to come down with the flu that Brett Welychka is still recovering from. The two hung out last week with Pawley and Subban as well.

Marselis Subban flipped to Sagnasty for a 4th.

Should benefit both the knights and Subban.

Once again Mark finds a place for a kid that didnt fit into his plans and he flips a 5th pick for a 4th.

A 4th round pick was A GREAT flip for Marselis.

Side note: People are not expecting Marselis to play tonight for Saginaw. All though it would not surprise me if he does. He's already packed his gear up out of the dressing room, had lunch with the boys. Expects to be at his billets until 4:30 tonight, then he'll get a ride from a manager to Sarnia to meet his new mates.

So are we expecting a full lineup on Friday for the season opener except Jammes? Gotta believe Bailie gets the start even if Patterson was awesome in the preseason. Could see the #1 goalie spot alternating several times this year, but I am confident in the tandem, unlike most critics. I assume Herbst will play in the GOJHL when healthy?

Herbst will be in Junior B in the London area. They'll want him close and they'll want him practicing with the Knights and facing as many OHL shooters as he can.

Michael McCarron trade

does anyone have the details on the Michael McCarron trade?
OHL website has Knights giving up a 5th in 2015 + 3 conditional 2nd round draft picks in 2015-2017-2018. The most recent "Wrap" on Cable 13 did not have the 2015 as conditional. I am trying to understand the "conditions" on that trade.

I believe it's one less 2nd every year he doesn't report. He didnt report this year so 1 pick was kept. So if he comes next year it's 2 2nds and the year after 1. I could be mistaken

In regards to tickets, I was thinking about going to the september 28th game against Kitchener, if I waited until game day or a couple days prior, what is the likelihood that there would be 2-3 seats together still available?

I'd call ASAP. Tics for games vs Rags can be difficult. ESP if it's a Friday night.
With Ktowns seniority in the league we often get Sunday aft or weekday home dates vs them.
With the rangers playin so many games on the road to start the year( their fans travel well to begin with, let alone when they are shut out of arena for a month) they'll have scooped a bunch I'd guess.
If you can't grab 3 together now, the day before or day of games, non sold group tics may become available. Call when box office opens ( I think 10am)

With Barrie already having 3 OA spots filled, this might be a good opportunity to acquire d-man Chris Buonomo for cheap. He would be an upgrade on defense over Ferry (since there's no room on wing) and could slide into the top 4 when needed. Also gives a 3rd right handed shot back there.

I would love for Erie to trade for buonomo but it's not going to happen. I don't see how it could hurt though. He wouldn't cost to much and it adds age and depth to their defense. Erie would have pelech McDowell kuleshov (1st round KHL pick) Donnay maskaant and then adding buonomo would give them a ton of depth.

Regarding Captaincy:

Hunter expects to announce Thursday/Friday.

Captaincy Cadidates: Hughes, Griffith, Harrington, Tierney

I think Harrington gets it.

Hughes, Griffith, Tierney get Alternate roles.

Other candidates: R. Rupert, M. Rupert, Welychka, Ferry, Horvat, Domi

The problem Dale is having is that EVERYONE on this team is a leader. As you can imagine.

67's D Ryan Shipley has gone home awaiting trade. I would feel a ton better with him back there than Ferry. Would take the Knights team to where it needs to be on D to win the Memmer this year. He is a local boy too.

I was thinking of a possible move for Shipley as well. Could get him for likely a mid round pick or 2 because this isn't the 1st time he's requested a trade. Move a 3rd,4th or whatever to the 67's...ship out Restoule and move Ferry back up front. Your top 7 D would then be Harrington,Maatta,Zadorov,Hughes,Raine,Shipley and Liberati. Not many holes there if any.

If he is, I believe we can buy him out of suspension

Anybody know what they base the CHL rankings off of? Is it a continuation of last year or what, because I do not think London is number 1 and kitchener is number 5, no way.

Well, I read this quite often and don't post often, but something needs to be said.

This is going to be one hell of an exciting year.

For the lockout, I picked the team that had the nicest jersey and logo combos. I will be a temp London Knights fan and possibly a permanent one in the future

And the votes are in ... the team has named Scott Harrington as captain! Griffith, Hughes, and Maatta will all wear an "A" ... Congratulations guys!
