Darren Dreger - ‏@DarrenDreger

Martin Brodeur very likely to test free agent market. Brodeur has hired Pat Brisson (CAA) to represent him. Bidders get ready!

Darren Dreger - ‏@DarrenDreger

Brodeur has had limited contract discussions with Devils. Could still sign before Sunday, but leaning now toward open market.

Really interesting report by @DarrenDreger saying Marty Brodeur has hired agent Pat Brisson and may test open market on Sunday.

If Brodeur were just going to stay in New Jersey, he would not have hired an agent, something he hasn't used for a long time.

He'd be a perfect stop gap for Chicago - as the UFA goalie market is going to be a lot better next year

Haha no way!

Although he played very well in the playoffs, he was just terrible for the first half of the season. I can see him signing somewhere else and just bombing the year.

Tells me the ownership situation in Jersey is worse than previously thought.

I really hope Toronto gets him.

I really don't get why Devils are not resigning him.

Brodeur just found out that Lou has been looking at Lou, kinda made him feel awkward. :-)

There is no link on TSN for the tweet. I don't think this is real.

Nah.
Whats the point of switching up?
You gave your sweat and blood for that team for so many years.

Bourque is greedy.

That's why I respect Yzerman, Sakic and Modano (whom they didn't want to resign)

If he does sign somewhere else he won't settle for backup. He still wants starts.
