If he wanted to play on the Oilers at all, I think we would give him 5million At least on a one year deal.

UFA? If Tampa traded Malone to Buffalo for Leopold, perhaps The Yzerman can entice Jagr over to the Lightning to fill a top-6 hole.

Stamkos and Jagr would be money on a line together.

How about sending Malone Pittsburgh's way, though.

It would only be a good fit if Jagr can play left wing.

He'll sign with whoever offers him the most money, as long as said team is at least decently good. I could see that being Philly, Jagr had great chemistry with Giroux, they know he fits on the team, so why not pay him decently to bring him back? Still, if someone like, I don't know, Chicago offer him $1 mil more than Philly will offer, you know he's a goner.

I hope he signs somewhere else, Jagr was ok but he's a defensive liability on a team that already has enough of those. He also didn't look great in the second half of the season or in the playoffs.

I'm glad he had a positive impact on some of the Flyers young guys but honestly I hope he's not re-signed. Flyers have plenty of young forwards who need those minutes not to mention the cap space is better spent on re-signing Jake and his injury problems the second half of the season. I wish him the best of luck moving forward

This is the stuff that bugs me about Jagr. He didn't have to say those things about Philly if he wanted to test free agency. It's a joke. He did it to Pittsburgh and that would be absurd if he doesn't re-sign in Philly.
Or he wants to see what teams are willing to offer after he has proven he can still be a good addition to alot of teams? Just cause players love a certain city and the team does not mean they should just sign for whatever. If another team is offering more money or extra year why would he not at least listen? If nothing out there is enticing enough to get him to leave Philly he will sign with them again if they still want him.

He's not coming back to the Rangers, and probably wouldn't fit in the defensive system, but he'd look great on our PP.

5M from Chicago, no problem for me, needs to be a little flexible at least on playing both sides, would get free reign on PP all year though, long live Jagr.

Calgary matches but has his friend Cervenka under contract so we win?

unlikely he leaves Philly But.....

Boston could offer 5m 1 year and Jagr knows he will see PP all year with the troubles on bostons pp.

Seguin Krejci Jagr will scare any team

he would take Boston from contender to Cup Favorite

Jagr probably knows the young kids in Philly are gonna be taking his ice time and role this coming year. Jake Voracek should see time on that top unit, I'd go as far as to say he'll be our best winger next year.

JVR - Giroux - Voracek (beauty line)
Hartnell - Briere - Schenn (yes please)
Read - Couturier - Simmonds (checking line with offensive flair)
Wellwood - xxx - Talbot (we will need a 4th line center!)

If we DO resign Jagr, which I still see as being 50/50, I'd be happy and he'd fit right in. However it would not be disappointing seeing him go -- especially if he gets a lot of money. Loved having him here this past year though!

Washington, Rangers, Philly....

I suppose the only team left that can stir some level of genuine antagonism from Pens fans would be Detroit. So, probably he will be a Wing .

Montreal La Mecque, the Capital, the Hometown of HOCKEY ... Jagr will probably think about it.

He knows Plekanec pretty well, Bergevin and Therrien have great words for him (IMHO). He is no Georges Laraque ( I mean a real beast in the gym). So my guess is that HABS will make an offer to Jagr, first by respect then maybe to grab him.

5 million nha (is it too much for a career ending?) 3.750 for a years okay !

Calgary with Cervenka is Also intriguing me alot .

I posted this a couple weeks ago after watching this interview:

Sounds like:

- he doesn't expect to return to Flyers
- he'll be quicker, probably drop 20 pounds or something
I still think there's a good chance he signs in Philly, but it's a coin flip at this point.

He needed this year to adjust back to the longer schedule of the NHL and realized that the game is even faster than before he left.

I don't expect him to sign with the Pens, but it's not impossible. It's actually more probable than last year IMO for a couple reasons. First, Jagr will have adjusted more to schedule and league, and so is more likely to be successful. Second, Malkin successfully returned from surgery and there's much less (but still some) uncertainty about Crosby's concussion issues. If he came back to Pitt last year, he could have been switching lines if Crosby and/or Malkin were injured and not played up to his and fans' expectations due to being away from the NHL for 3 seasons. It actually would make more sense this year, even if it seems highly unlikely.

There's a lot of possibilities, but mainly agree with the consensus:

- contending team
- likely top line minutes and def. 1st/2nd PP minutes
- center that doesn't clash with his style of play
- eastern conference probable due to travel and familiarity
- room under cap for offer of 3-4M

It's a crapshoot:

Philly 40%
Pitt 15% - great centers, contender, could retire as a Pen
Bos 15% - Krejci good fit, contender
Van 10% - Sedins' cycling meshes perfectly, contender... but it's Pacific and Canada
Field 20% - it's Jagr, you never know
