Well it was interesting to check out the list anyways. Obviously since it's not a mock have to decide how it'd line up with needs and personal preferences.

It is surprising to see Reinhart that high. A bit on edge though with the bloodlines thing since I think that matters about as much as passport should. Certainly an advantage to have a parent who's been there, but in the end it's got to be about the actual skillsets. But since I haven't seen enough about Reinhart will believe he's more than good enough to be where he is.

Need these big guys that can play, they wear down a defence as a series goes on.
If Galchenyuk and Grigorenko are both there at 5, then Burke more than likely picks Galchenyuk. I don't think liking Faksa will matter much into the equation if skill of that level is still on the board.

I wouldn't be surprised it may be any number of guys, tsure looks like Forsberg may be gone by the time we pick, this draft has so many variables. Burke could pick any number of guys in the 5 slot or he may see value in dropping back, putting the 35 pick in play to move up. I wouldn't rule out Faksa - Wilson on a move back if Forsberg is gone. We will see but it will be interesting Fri night.

i agree, they say the list is based on the consensus from the scouts but bob definitely has all kinds of inside info that he uses to make this list, so its really more of a mock if you ask me

Yakupov, Murray, Galchenyuk and Forsberg could very likely go 1-4 is some order.

For the Leafs that may be worst case scenario if wanting a top forward is the objective here, as that drops TO into taking a dman with the selection in the 5th spot.

I say it's more then likely Galchenyuk but in saying that Grigorenko played in Quebec last season and they saw 1st hand what he's capable of doing. Either way Toronto is gonna get a great player be it, Murray, Forsberg, Galchenyuk, or Grigorenko. Either way that's my clear cut top 4 after the number 1., I don't care what these guys rank them I still see it as these being the top 4players in the draft after Yakupov IMO.

Right junior team Saskatoon, but wrong player..

Remember the name Lukas Sutter, that is a potential Leaf 2nd round pick, based on GM preference.

Last year he had:

1. RNH
2. Larsson
3. Huberdeau
4. Landeskog
5. Couturier

It went:

1. RNH
2. Landeskog
3. Huberdeau
4. Larsson
5. Strome

In 2010

Bob:

1. Hall
2. Seguin
3. Gudbranson
4. Gormley
5. Fowler

Acutal:

1. Hall
2. Seguin
3. Gudbranson
4. Johansen
5. Niederreieter

12. Fowler
13. Gormley

It hasn't been to accurate with respect to who goes where, but how many of his top 30 get drafted in the first round.

I was thinking Sutter also, but I've seen him ranked much lower in the second round on many lists.

You never know though, Burke might have a man-crush on him.

We have Mess's pick for the 2nd round now all that's left is for #5 pick.

I guess it would be Forsberg.

The one myth about Galchenyuk was his size people were saying he was 6'2 or whatever and he turn about out he was only 6'0ft.

But Forsberg is actually 6'2, Plays C and wing, So he has the versatility(+size) that Montreal may be after. They seem to have a lot of centermen currently around the 5'10-6'0.

This is all just speculation on my part, It could very well go the other way round. I think it all depends on what CBJ does to be honest.

Perhaps he does, but at the risk of someone saying Russian factor again, and then saying Gally isn't Russian he's born in the USA, I may be wrong, time will tell but I just don't get the feel Leafs are interested in Gally. They may parlay another team's liking of him, if he is not taken by Montreal or NY Isles into multiple picks, names mentioned a lot that Leafs like have been Forsberg, Faksa, and Wilson. We'll see how it plays out on the draft floor.

That's far from the worst case.

We're still left with Grigorenko or Rielly.

Frattin-Gaunce-Biggs
Wilson-Komarov-Ross

and the treadmill continues, leafs will lose but at least they'll take some penalties

im sick of the leafs not having top end forwards. Kessel has talent then thats it, i really want another top end skilled forward out of this draft. Galy, Grigs, Forsberg in that order

i don't like Ceci at all ... he's the one prospect that i would completely pass over even if we picked at the 20-30ish spot

You are not alone here, but there has to be a reason why so many scouts like him.
