Cody Ceci is Drew Doughty lite. Obviously nowhere near as talented, but he's a big body who can move the puck, is solid defensively and throws the body every once and awhile. He's even got the same type of stocky build and skating style.
Yakupov = Ovy light, same mindset, no size.
Murray = Hamhuis is the best description I've heard.
Galchenyuk = Kopitar a bit, more puck control though, less size
Grigorenko = Thorton in size, style and skating. Maybe attitude as well.
Trouba = Smaller Erik Johnson
Dumba = Subban to some extent.
Forsberg = Have not seen enough
Rielly = Brian Campbell
Reinhardt = Chris Phillips
Faksa =Milan Michalek
Maata = Same style as Lidstrom, but half the talent
Ceci = Del Zotto
Teravainen = Not seen, Saku Koivu though from description?
Collberg = Not seen enough.
Koekkoek = Jamie McBain
Lindholm = Not seen enough
Gaunce = Mike Fisher with no speed
Hertl = Not seen enough
Collberg is fairly similar to Jeff Carter and Grabner Mixed. Has speed and skates similar to Grabner but his offensive game is very similar to Carters. Shoots, dangles, and plays very gritty offensive game.
Yakupov = A physical Patrick Kane with better shot, and tad less playmaking ability
Murray = Ryan Suter
Galchenyuk = Marian Hossa
Grigorenko = Jason Spezza
Trouba = Luke Schenn
Dumba = PK Subban
Forsberg = Ive heard Corey Perry
Rielly = Kris Letang
Reinhardt = Karl Alzner
Faksa = Martin Hanzal
Maata = Alex Edler (he really needs to work on skating though)
Subban = Semyon Varlamov
Vasilevski = Carey Price
Laughton = Mike Richards
Yakupov = Ovy/Bure hybrid
Murray = JayBo
Galchenyuk = Kopitar
Grigorenko = Carter
Trouba = Luke Schenn, but better Dumba = Phaunef
Forsberg = Franzen
Rielly = Keith
Reinhardt = His dad
Faksa = Ryan Kesler
Teravainen = Ray Whitney
Just because a player is swedish doesn't mean they have to be compared to a swede. I dunno just kinda annoys me.
While I generally agree, one could argue that the Swedish development system emphasises different skills and characteristics, thus many Swedish players have similar qualities. In the case of Swedes, they are known for their skating and two-way play.
It isn't just Swedes, Russians are known for their dynamic skill and offense, Canadians their grit and physicality etc...
