This is painful to me, honestly... And I'm not a huge Gogo fan.

Fair enough. Don't see the two teams as optimal trading partners.

I did hear there was a rumor floating around that the Rangers weren't too high on keeping Stepan and/or AA as a 2c. Ribeiro would be a good stopgap for one of them, but we'd have to see.

I feel like moving Ryder is a bad idea. I don't even know why, just get a bad feeling about it.

All this trade talk around Gagner doesn't make much sense. I just don't see all these NHL teams giving up much for a guy that is really close to being a tweener...

This all sounds like Edmonton propoganda to move him...

As the first legitimate center prospect we've drafted and developed in about 30 years besides Savard, Stepan is going nowhere. The organization is very high on him.

Anisimov on the other hand, could be moved. Organization isn't nearly as high on him. Then again, he's playing a 3C role, not 2c.

Eriksson and Benn are obviously not going anywhere. I don't see a deal to be made for Dubinsky unless one of Larsen, Chiasson, Smith or Ryder are available.

He is coming off of what will likely be the best season in his career... it is a fantastic idea to move him now

AA + 1st for Ribeiro and a prospect? I'm just throwing stuff out there.

I think that was the media overstating how disappointed the Rangers were with those players' playoff performance. Anisimov could be moved, but I would be stunned if Stepan was.

AA is Russian which probably means GMJN has no interest.

With a contending team now and a weakness at LW that a poster above mentioned, would the Rangers have any interest in Morrow as the prime piece going the other way? If he can find his game, he could be key to get a contender over the hump.

Gagner will become an 80+ point player.

Remember he had poor linemates of Cogliano, Nilsson to start his career at the age of 18.

Gagner a Tweener? Like between NHL and AHL or 2nd and 3rd line?

The problem is Dubinsky is here and now and contributing on a team that is a contender. We're looking to become a better team next season, not worse. Dubinsky is far from untouchable, but picks and prospects don't have that much value to us unless we flip them later for a better player.

But wasn't he healthy scratched during the PO's or was he injured? Thought when he was healthy he was only on 3rd / 4th line?

How many years left for Ribs? I'd probably do that.

He got hurt in game 7 vs Ottawa and was not able to come back till game 5 vs Jersey. Playing 3rd line for the most part since he struggled in the yr.

Dubi still has value and if a team wont give what he;s worth the Rangers keep him on the 3rd line and he can potentially move his way back up to a top 6 spot.

I think one of or both of Dubi and Anisimov move if the price is right. But that is a top6 LW plus
