It's a shame what the HIAC match has become.

My thoughts exactly. The HIAC was originally meant to be a brutal way to settle feuds, and now it's just another victim of the PG era. I would've preferred them to retire the HIAC rather than neuter it.

the gimmick PPVs (HIAC, MITB, Elimination Chamber, TLC) take away the importance of those types of matches. It's basically the writers getting lazy

one good sign is that apparently the TLC PPV has been replaced. Hopefully the others follow

Replace MITB PPV w/ KOTR, HIAC w/ old school style Survivor Series. Elimination Chamber is pretty cool and works well as a standalone PPV because it's so different from the other gimmick ones.

They already have the Survivor Series PPV, they just need to go back to how it originally was. But I agree about bringing the KOTR back

They put one month long feuds in a Cell now just because of the PPV. It's killed all significance of the match.

That's ridiculous.

Plus with no blood or weapons and whatnot allowed, is it true that the Cell in now just a big steel enclosure around the ring and nothing else? Like a big steel "playpen" of sorts.

They don't even use the Cell. Most times it's just a no countout, no DQ match with HIAC surrounding the ring.

The Cell should only be used for the end of a feud when you have 2 wrestlers in an intense rivalry but that the heel always run away so that the face can't get his hands on him. Unlike a cage match, there is no way to exit the cell (well, on paper.) I think the Undertaker/Shawn Michaels feud was based around that.

How about adding a "War Games" style match as the main event of Survivor Series?

King of the Ring was a great PPV, and would love for it to return and replace a lesser PPV like Money in the Bank. Once KOTR replaces MITB, have a lone Money in the Bank match return to WrestleMania to help stack the WrestleMania cards.

So I'm right with how I said the cell is just a big steel "playpen" of sorts nowadays??? That's pathetic.

One of my favorite HIAC moments.

Vince wanted Brock to go up there after the match to give everyone a "King Kong" moment. I'm not lying, it's in his book lol.

Stone Cold at Mind Games 1996 about his opinion about Bret...

Randomly decided to watch a TNA PPV last night, so I decided on No Surrender 2009. I then realized today that there was a live PPV last night, and it was actually No Surrender.

Sounds nice in theory, the reality would be much different nowadays.

Ministry of Darkness/old school era Undertaker was so awesome.

Why he did that whole biker schtick has never made sense to me.

I just uploaded 4 Ric Flair vs Ricky Steamboat matches on my YouTube channel.

I know I'm missing one of the important match from those two, anyone could help me out finding out the missing one?

A discussion in the RAW thread got me searching some old Kane Tag Teams on YouTube and I came across this.
