Well Justin DaSilva is big.... And likes to hit. I'm not sure how much his game has rounded into form. When he First came to Powell River he was pretty bad. Big body but late on the hits and by the time he left he developed into our top d-man with a hard slap shot. BCHL hockey in our division is full of smaller but fast and talented players so Justin developed the foot speed to keep up with them. But his time in Powell River he was a man playing among boys.
The Vancouver Canucks announced today the roster of their Prospect Development Camp running throughout the July 1st, Canada Day long weekend. A total of 35 players are scheduled to report to Rogers Arena and the University of British Columbia for the five-day Camp.
Prospect media availability will take place beginning Friday, June 29th at Rogers Arena following daily on-ice sessions. Media are invited to attend on-ice sessions and are asked to enter the building through Gate 9, located on Griffiths Way. There will be no media work area accessible during the Prospect Development Camp.
The camp will consist of on- and off-ice workouts throughout the weekend with activities showcasing the city of Vancouver, including hiking the Grouse Grind and Dragon Boating at False Creek.
This is an interesting one. May 94 birthdate, injured his knee, only played 2 games this year, and is a guy who can rush the puck + make a good first pass, as well as play physical. Could be a signing if he shows well.
