I know, once the game is released they'll have to spend hours just doing those trades. Might even take days. One league is in the 60s now.

This is confirmation that there is a reason why everyone on HF in not an NHL GM.

It'll be interesting to see how the teams end up at the end of the year.

Neal Time, I think i'll keep Giroux as well, Hartnell is gone ASAP though!!!

Understood. Good luck finding a taker in this league though!
What would you want for Couturier?

Also, we should use this as an untouchables/trade block thread. At least until the game starts so we can form a game plan going into the season.

for me

I honestly don't know why anyone would want anything besides Murray/JJ who are untouchable. Anybody else is game. I was looking forward to trading Nash, buuut....

If we go into the season with current rosters, my D would be pretty thin right now (also would need to wait to see what Holmgren does), but maybe Coutrurier for Leddy straight up? That's also if this thing plans to go on a while so they can both develop to make it worthwhile maybe? Unless you don't like Duncan

I'm curious to see how prospects/draft/free agency is handled in this game mode.
Also, are there other options to start the league (fantasy draft, randomized rosters?)

I agree with this too, if trading goes haywire when we get this thing started up, bottom teams will get screwed with no trade material, especially if people only play a season or two, younger teams have no chance to fill their potential.

Word. My club plays most nights. What position do you play? Add me on XBL: ball saddle. We'll be on tonight most likely.

If people are interested in a fantasy draft, I have an idea. Each person make a list of the superstars on each team, submit it, then total up everything and make sure everyones on the same page. Then we hold a draft between those players until your roster is full. I think it would be pretty cool to do that and it would allow for everyone to basically start off on the same level.

You can't do a fantasy draft. Randomizing rosters is an option though. I'd rather just start off with authentic rosters

Yeah I'd rather have real rosters.

Hey Big Ben, what do you want from Chicago for Marleau?

Toews and Keith are about the only ones off the block for me. On the block would be Bolland and Leddy.

It would be pretty cool if the commish could edit rosters beforehand and we could do a draft in this thread. Only bad part is that it would take days + would be brutal for the commish.

Neal Time - I was hoping for a goalie if I could ship Marleau off so I'm not sure you and I would be great trading partners, but I think you would have to start with Saad.

Geno should be higher than Sid.

Big name ratings.

Sid - 95
Ovie - 93 - How he's still rated this highly is beyond me.
Geno - 91
Stamkos - 91
Giroux - 90
Kovalchuk - 90
E. Staal - 87
J. Staal - 85
J Neal - 84

I think they said the ratings are different this game, so 75 could be the new 78. I disagree with the Martin and Malkin ratings. Martin should be an 82 and Malkin should be a 94.

Glass a 72? I know the ratings are different but if Cooke's a 79, then Glass should at least be a 77.

Ratings are messed up lol.

Oh no, they spelled it wrong, and you can't edit names of players.

Wonderful.

EDIT: Wait, they have an NHL 13 screenshot of Sutter as a Penguin and it's spelled right.

You can see the two T's on this pic. The only way you can tell it's from NHL 13 is because of the Tim Horton's ad on the boards.

This from the Fantasy board, these are ratings that make no sense to me.

Things that stand out at me the most:

-B. Campell at 83 (to low)
-Tallinder at 83 (to high)
-A. Larsson at 84
-Elias at 82 (to low)
-Tavares at 85 (to low)
-Karlsson at 86 (to low)
-Malkin at 91 (to low)
-Carle at 86 (to high)
-Phaneuf at 88 (to high)
-Backstrom at 85 (to low)
-Byfuglien at 87 (to high)

I really hope these are fixed.
