Matt Read scores a goal off the rush. Guess what happened? Simmonds rushed the front of the net and Matt Read used the room to make a move to the slot and scored.

Sounds familiar.

Blue Jackets just got the most brutal GI call I have ever seen.

Literally 2 Jackets players on each side of Blackhawks net, and one on the right redirected it at ice level in and they call GI.

Toronto is terrible. Thats good for our playoff hopes.

On top of that, all that whining from Panthers fans about not being respected, well it seems to be accurate.

LA looks likely to win tonight I guess. So if the Flames win too, Caps are last to win.

Stop watching on DVR

On top of that, I laugh at all the idiots on this board that laughed at me and FedFed for suggesting the idea of trying to get Leo Komarov. Guy tries harder than Brouwer does and has a lot more chemistry with Ovechkin and Backstrom.

Color commentator on CBC just called the Oilers the Young Turks.

Sad state of affairs when someone can say something like that have no clue what's wrong with saying such a thing.

Knuble picking up an assist in their romp over the Panthers tonight. So after one game he's tied with Ovechkin in the league scoring 'race...'

You do realize that the term or reference Young Turks have taken on additional meanings since its original reference to the historical/political group of the early 20th century.

Young Turk
n.
1. A member of a Turkish reformist and nationalist political party active in the early 20th century.
2. also young Turk
a. A young progressive or insurgent member of an institution, movement, or political party.
b. A young person who rebels against authority or societal ex

I've heard the term used to refer to young upstarts and I would believe that's how its being used in regards to the Oilers. Nothing derogatory about it being used in that context.

Oy vey. The Young Turks were the perpetrators of the Armenian genocide.

Flames now up 2-0 and LA has won. Caps are biggest losers.

It is also an old mafia term for an upstart.

Well, this explains the persecution complex and constant whining about conspiracies.

Leo Komarov certainly isn't a top 6 forward in my mind but he could be a nice addition.

He has bad stats but I think he could be good. I'm going to side with you on this one.

Apparently Komarov is a huge pain in the ass to other teams though. We know GMGM doesn't like straight up instigators.

I could probably get Ted's attention if you guys want to make a deal on a player though. Just let me know. I've got hookups.
