Haven't seen the latest SI poll on the top 10 most disliked players in the NHL? Ribeiro's on the list for his diving and whining.

Are you kidding me? The kid is 20. 20 year olds do stupid krap. The Caps are crying out for a talented winger, regardless of age, after letting Semin go. To be able to get one already as accomplished as he is at his age would be quite the coup. It is never going to happen but still...

He's a little *****. The diving is a symptom of his *****iness, but its presence has no bearing on whether he's still a *****.

CBJ fire Howson. Better late than never I guess, but don't see how he could have done any more damage.

Was thinking the exact same thing. The horses haven't just left the barn, they've run their races, died, and been sold as Elmer's.

Wow. I had no clue that the Ducks have the second most points in the NHL.

I didn't realize Ryan Murray was out for the season. That franchise really may be cursed.

Sounds like Kekalainen in as Columbus GM. They're about to become relevant.

Getting rid of Nash and Howson within a year are the two best things that ever happened to that franchise.

Lol, if GMGM is ever fired, keep him and Button away from the Caps!

Good hire for them, especially with three potentially high draft picks.

Makes sense with Davidson as president of hockey ops and their previous working relationship in St. Louis.

We should only have super respectable players.

Nice guys finish first, or something like that.

I think Kekäläinen will make an impact in Columbus. He worked with Ottawa with ok results, one draft was bad. Basically the whole Blues roster is from players drafted by him or players traded for his draftees.

Was watching the Carolina/TB highlight. Semin planting his butt in front of the goalie. Screening the goalie. WTF is this Sasha?

Same Sasha we had but when he did good stuff it was instantly forgotten.

Though he does now have better linemates than Chimera and Perreault. Perhaps that made him care more?

Maybe. I'm glad he's having success. Always liked him. Was kinda hoping Carolina would suck, we'd be decent and that we could grab him at TDL.

I've been impressed with Semin too. Maybe the coach? Mueller just strikes me as the kind of guy that will get to know each and every player and learn how to get the best out of each. No two are alike.

Carolina looks more worrisome than Tampa Bay. It's a well rounded team.

There are plenty of positive things you could say about Carolina. Well rounded is not one of them.

Yeah this sums it up. Semin was good when he was here. He was a whipping boy for lots of fans and especially the local media.

He's not a different player but rather has more to work with.

Or maybe it is because he is getting the most ice time of any forward on that team at just over 21 minutes instead of the less than 17 minutes he got in DC last year...?

The most ice time he ever got in DC was a bit over 19 minutes a game in '08-'09...

His +/- is interesting, that's about it. Completely unsustainable on +2 team.

Yeah, their D might actually be worse than ours (though you wouldn't know it based on our body of work so far this year). But they have an established goalie (at a very hefty cap hit).

Semin is not the same player. If there's one guy who Hunter had an impact on it was Semin. He plays a mostly honest game now.
