I think Toronto would take Oscar Dansk G over Maidens in the second round.

Doesn't make a lot of sense for my two teams.

I mean Trouba is the safer pick, but his ETA is longer than Dumba's, and after this fiasco with Schultz, I'm not to sure the Ducks are too taken with NCAA bound defensemen.

As for Winnipeg, this is a personal outlook, but they'd take Faksa before Gaunce. From what I've seen from both players Faksa is far and away the better player.

Don't mind the second round picks, but Bozon is a little low.

I'd prefer Faska to Gaunce as well, but wouldn't be fussed if the Jets felt the opposite. I see ISS has Gaunce ahead of Faska.

I wouldn't put too much faith in ISS. Look where Galchenyuk is ranked. IMO Gaunce only gets high rankings because he's the best available Canadian forward.

From the 6-7 games I've seen of him, everything that has been advertised about him has been more or less incorrect. Faksa, Collberg, Teravainen, Forsberg (should go without saying) are all notably better. I'd even argue that Girgensons and Frk are at the same level.

NCAA bound is not the problem. As the Islanders also experienced the problem is when they do not go to the NCAA the year they were drafted. Because if they play one year in the USHL (for example) they can try to become a UFA after their Junior Year of college. However the player has to decline the rights owning team's offer and wait 30 days to become a UFA.

For example at the end of the 2011 NCAA Tournement the NYI attempted to sign Gregorie out of UND following his jounior year. Gregiore Had played one year in the USHL after he was drafted. He declined the offer and they had 30 days to attempt to negoitiate a new deal. After the 30 days he became a UFA and signed with Winnipeg. Same thing Happened with Blake Kessel as he signed with Phily. The Islanders are now concerned about Anders Lee as he played a year in the USHL after being drafted. He is going back for his Jounior year and COULD leave at the end if he does not want to sign with the Islanders.

Its not a loophole but a laid out clause that Says a NCAA player can become a UFA after 4 years following the draft. CHL players if not signed after 3 years go back into the Draft, NCAA players after 4 years are UFA's.

I would much rather have Reinhart or Reilly over Gaunce.

Phoenix won their division so they will pick somewhere between 22 and 25. They will draft a forward.

pretty sure that division leaders get put ahead the losers of the conference finals, who are ahead of the two teams that are in the finals. Then the rest of the field is seeded based on points. Division leaders are also seeded by points.

30. Stanley Cup Winner
29. Stanley Cup Looser
28. & 27. Conference Final looser by points

the rest is seeded by Division leaders, then playoff participants by points.

Toronto maple leafs

I doubt the will not take Vasilevski, actually I think he should go before Subban, but because of his name and country, Subban will probably get picked.

If he's still on the board when the Pens pick in the second, there is no way they pass on Henrik Samuelsson.

I like the picks for the Leafs now. I'm sure Sens fans would love Maatta and SJ gets a steal in Finn.

Jankowski would definitely be a head scratcher, but could be a long shot pick that could work out.

If LA draft as nr. 27th in the 1st round, then I'm almost sure that CBJ will choose our 1st pick next year instead!

I hope we draft a player like N. Kerdiles or Christoval Nieves!

I'd run around naked if the Hawks got Dansk in the 2nd round pick---especially if he's still around after the 1st and they don't have to move up in the 2nd to get him. I think if a lot of these quality Dmen are gone like you have projected, they move back and grab Dansk later in the 1st. I think MTL will take the Russian kid from Sarnia before they take Forsberg. I believe Forsberg is over-rated and will fall---maybe even out of the Top 10. All conjecture on my part, very nice 2 round list!

I doubt Florida picks wilson over skei, lindholm, or koekkoek...

We have a solid well rounded prospect pool when it comes to every position but we don't have a true PMD in our pool to replace cambell... and i think they would pick a PMD project over wilson..or trade the pick

Also in the 2nd round i doubt florida would pick a smaller forward like stephenson after the rau and grimaldi picks.. (plus i think he is a LWer instead of a c, probably plays both positions).. we would probably pick samuelson or jankowski or draft up to acquire nieves or schmaltz..

buut I think that we give our second round pick to philly for the steeger trade..

I like your mock.. very interesting.. keep em comin!

Anaheim. Dumba. Good. Zharkov...I'm not seeing anyone better, though I think Samuelsson, Jankowski, Schmaltz, or Hyka could go there as well.

Winnipeg...can't be sure about this but I get the feeling that until they're settled in to the NHL they'll pass on Europeans for a while. In the first round I'd expect them to take Trouba or Reinhart if they're available. I don't see Sieloff being a good fit there. I think they'll go D first round and take a forward second round.

Having watched both Wilson and Skjei play I think theres a pretty solid chance that it's Lindholm over those two.
