Figured out how to change the title. I recon the regular season is more important than the preseason. Hopefully this schedule is the real one, even if its against the Flyers, I would like to spend New Years Eve in Glendale!
So last year during the middle of the year we had a stretch of 34 games in which the team had to travel directly before 31 of them.
This coming year we have to end the season by traveling directly before 27 of the final 31 games. Only 11 of those are home games and 6 of the final 18.
This team better have a great first half of the season.
1. Not opening the season vs the defending cup champs or vs Winnipeg for that matter.
2. Teams like the Rangers and the Pens are coming to town.
3. We finish our last game of the season at home.
Somethings I don't like so far.
1. The 6 game road trip early on.
2. Playing Vancouver 2 times in April.
3. The month of March where we have 6 games on the road with 2 home games after and 3 games back on the road after that short homestand.

We better damn make sure we have the players we need to do well but the chances of that happening now are not looking good.
I did this by hand so it may have errors but I counted 14 times that a game is scheduled back-to-back after another game. I have included what the other team's rest time looks like as well:
Nov 1 at Sabres
Nov 2 at Senators (2 day rest)
Nov 23 Colorado
Nov 24 at Colorado
Nov 30 at Devils
Dec 1 at Islanders (1 day rest)
Dec 26 at Kings
Dec 27 Kings
Jan 4 at Ducks
Jan 5 Rangers (back to back)
Jan 14 at Kings
Jan 15 Red Wings (1 day rest)
Feb 1 at Ducks
Feb 2 Bruins (1 day rest)
Feb 11 at Jets
Feb 12 at Blackhawks (2 day rest)
Feb 23 at Oilers
Feb 24 at Flames (back-to-back)
March 2 Ducks
March 3 at Ducks
March 9 Blues
March 10 at Sharks (back-to-back)
March 16 at Tampa
March 17 at Carolina (back-to-back)
Just glancing at the schedule, it looks like the entire month of November is played at home. I would have preferred a month like that in the 2nd half to rest and get healthy and rested, but such is professional sports. These guys get paid the way they do to play a sport and train for it the way they do.
