Has this Happened to Anyone Else?

So, about a week ago I flipped on the television, it was on CSN, showing "Discover Wisconsin." (This is the only part I hate about the five days off after school ends before work begins, nothing on TV.) I tap in "404", NHL Network's channel number, into the remote, and nothing happens. This is with a smaller xfinity remote, so I head upstairs to try it with the full cable box and large remote with 2,387,690 buttons. "404", it flips to a black screen with the NHL Tonight information on the bottom, and a blue-and-yellow window saying "NHL: Not allowed. (It probably wasn't "allowed", but you get the general idea.)" Now, apparently, I don't have access to NHL Net with my cable package. Has this happened to anybody else?

Yes. I had the NHL Network on the night LA won, and it was gone the next day. Not that I needed it too much when they replay the same eight games all summer, but I still want it, especially for the Draft.

I have a hundred channels I don't want; can I trade them all for one I do?

Exactly my point. I'm not going to watch QVC or HSN all day long, so is it possible for me to exchange them for the one I'm actually interested in?????

If you have Comcast, which it sounds like you do, just order the Sports Entertainment Package. Completely worth the $8 I give my parents a month for NHLN, MLBN, FOX Soccer, and NFLN when I occasionally watch that.

Yeah, Comcast removed the NHL Network from the basic digital cable lineup the morning after Game 6 of The Final. There actually was a paragraph about it on the most recent bill. The rep I spoke to said you could buy the sports ent. package or that you could pay for the digital preferred package which gets you over 40 additional channels. Both around $8-$10 per month.

Wow, Comcast sports package is only $8 per month? That's awesome if true.
