Not to rain on the parade here, but Maguire also said that Leclaire was going to be the best goalie in Ottawa's history.

He was an amateur scout, not a pro scout.

It's the same deal with the Sens, we have good amateur scouts, but our pro scouts are kinda iffy.

Hmmm, they hit it pretty good with Michalek. I don't blame anyone for Leclaire. He is just an injury waiting to happen.

McGuire gushes over almost every prospect.

The only time I've heard him upset at a pick was Dallas taking Campbell after the Lehtonen trade.

It's funny to see that last year we had 10 draft talk threads before the actual draft, whereas this year we've only had 3.

In no particular order: Ceci, Lindholm, Maata, Girgensons

or if we do in fact deal one of Bishop or Lehner...Subban could definitely be a very real possibility.

To be fair, the draft was the only thing about last season we could look forward to without cringing...

You should search for some Carey Price draft day videos.

James Street Pub is having a draft party. Last year the party was at St. Louis and it was awesome. I was the only one to cheer for Mika when we drafted him.

I may have to head out about halfway through the draft for a family thing.
I think you could just to tsn.ca on your phone's browser and watch it there. I've never tried though.

I wouldn't call that a terrible prediction. Without injuries Leclaire would have easily been our best goalie of all time and a top 10 goalie in the league.

I completely forgot about Tomas Hertl. Anyone else high on him like I am? I think he could be underrated because of where he's from -- but he was real good in the WJC and he absolutely tore up the Czech pro league this year.

By comparison Milan Michalek, who was drafted 6th overall, only put up 8 points in 46 games in his draft year...Hertl has put up 25 points in 38 games. He's a big enough body and very intelligent player.

Finally, something:

Hearing Bobrovsky to Columbus for draft picks. Working on details.
I hope this means that if we're still pursuing Nash that Murray can retain our goaltending depth.
