Those trades aren't... horribly actually. Would depend on Staal resigning, but the value is fairly accurate on both IMO.

The moves I believe will happen tomorrow:

-Sam Gagner packaged for a 2012 1st round pick
-Linus Omark to the Predators for a 4th round pick
-Nikolai Khabibulin/Eric Belanger traded for a 6th round pick

Maybe Suter or Parise. Cant see this draft(other than all gms being together) being a key to the other big names.

I think they are horribly actually, if the Canes are trading their first I really hope it's on a marque player, not someone like Gagner

8th OA
38th OA
Brandon Sutter
Zac Dalpe
Jaime McBain

Rick Nash
Jared Boll

PS - if the 8th OA is traded for Sam Ganger, I'm gonna find a new team to cheer for

I see Tampa shopping the 19th+ for a fairly young top 4 D.

On what freaking planet is MPS + 1st in 2013 fair value for Jordan Staal?

It's inevitable. The sooner you can accept it, the sooner we can move on.

I expect Cody Franson could likely be moved for a 2nd round and maybe a 4th rounder. Since the Leafs have neither a 3rd or 4th round pick, and Franson is almost entirely redundant on this team (yet with some good potential still) Burke will elect to give him a chance elsewhere.

I feel like Carolina is giving up a lot more than they should. That's just me though....

The Leafs are missing picks in the third and fourth rounds, so it can be feasible that one roster player could be moved for one of those picks in 2012 if another team has a need for a roster player.

CGY/BUF: Calgary 1st for Nashville 1st and Calgary 2nd
VAN/NASH: Vancouver 1st for Minnesota 2nd and Toronto 3rd and Dallas 6th
DAL/LAK: LA 1st for Dallas 2nd and LAK 2nd

Mark Spector... speculates Calgary and Vancouver will move down for depth. Dallas may want to move up for a 2nd first round pick.

Sam Gagner is not getting traded for a top 10 pick. That's ridiculous. He's not even a good second line center. 3rd line is where I see him best. I'd rather have Turris imo.

Franson to NYI for their 3rd and 4th!

Luke Schenn with other pieces either way.

As an LA fan, I wouldnt mind this move. Looking at what LA has for picks, #30 isnt going to net us a center like Brendan Gaunce where we lack in depth, but taking #43 and #61 should get us a chance to add the likes of Lukas Sutter, Zach Stepan, Jarrod Maidens, or Scott Laughton.

Don't expect much from the Bruins tomorrow.

Maybe a small trade for a 3rd line LWer. If Seguin is ready, perhaps Krejci for a 1st line forward. however, that is VERY unlikely as I believe Chiarelli has stated Seguin will play wing again.
