I don't know if I can think of any lately. I've just noticed generally over the last year or so that it seems like New Jersey fans on average really seem to like him.
Would love to bring him to Chicago. Sharp and Montador for Enstrom and Little?
the point of trading enstrom would be to get a first line center so that little and burmistrov both get bumped down a line to where they belong. if they include little in a deal then burmistrov is still the 2nd liner and that's not really a good thing for them. i think they would be looking for something more along the lines of enstrom and picks or prospects for sharp.

He's a nice fit for a lot of teams, but in terms of trade value, I don't think there's a lot out there for the Jets in terms of lining up a 1 for 1 trade.
i think you're underselling him defensively a bit. no he's not a shutdown guy, but his transition defense is excellent and his in zone defense is average at worst. he won't be a pk force, but he'll play a ton of minutes even strength and be great on the power play. enstrom is the best d-man on a lot of teams.

yeah, can't give either up and don't really have anything expendable that winnipeg would go for. our best chance is if he hits free agency next year. and enstrom-larsson pairing would be the ****.

Can't believe I missed this one earlier when I posted. Sharp would be awesome for the Jets. From Chicago's perspective what's the difference in value between Montador and Hjalmarsson, i.e. what would have to be added to Enstrom and Little to make it for Sharp and Hjalmarsson? That keeps the ages a little better for Winnipeg's perspective and I see Hjalmarsson's name a lot on this board.
That'd work from Winnipeg's perspective IMO. It has come up before several times though and Duchene's value seems to be a divisive issue amongst Colorado fans. Probably best to leave that one be.
I know the Rangers really don't have too many Cs available to deal straight up for Enstrom, but as a fan of hockey I just love the style he plays. He is EXACTLY what the Rangers need in their top 4 next to Marc Staal, literally an IDEAL fit. I'd be willing to offer Michael Del Zotto, a solid-good prospect and the 28th pick to get something for Enstrom + a mid-round pick assuming we could get a contract done.
I would kill to see a top 4 of
McDonagh/Girardi
Staal/Enstrom
Also as a "hockey fan" in general wouldn't a deal around Jordan Staal/Paul Martin for Enstrom and picks (say a 2012 2nd and a conditional 2nd in 2013 that could become a 1st based on Martin's play) make sense for both squads? Assuming both players resign in their respective places of course. Would give you guys a potential #2A, borderline #1B C. I also like Jordan Staal and would love him on the Rangers too. Interested to see what Winnipeg fans think of this.
I would go for this, maybe with some sort of contingency if Enstrom doesn't sign an extension with Col.
Ok no way in hell is Enstrom worth Duchene even with a contract..
And what exactly would the contingency be? Four first round picks?
Would you trade E. Kane for Enstrom? NO
We have two kids that could end up just as good as Enstrom who are small but still bigger than Enstrom in Barrie & Elliott.
No way do I want a D-Core that averages 5'10.. If we were not stocked in small puck movers already something around Enstrom & Stastny could probably work but we are. PASS

I don't disagree I didn't make the proposal I just accepted it You are absolutely right the Jets would never trade Kane for an Enstrom.
I go to a lot of Jets Games and while Enstrom is listed at 5'10, I think that includes his skates and helmet. But the guy sure is slick and can move the puck.

On your first point: Absolutely. Even just simplifying it to Enstrom for Del Zotto + 28th, that works for me.
On the second point: Staal makes sense for the Jets, Martin makes none. I don't understand why the Jets would ADD to Enstrom to get Martin. Martin is a far worse player than Enstrom is in basically every way.
Nope. Duchene for Tobby makes no sense from Avs POV and we don't need draft picks, we need proven NHL players.
Agreed.
I don't know how many more Avalanche fans (or basically anyone with some common sense) will it take for people to stop thinking that a Duchene for Enstrom deal makes any sense.
As for the "proposal", the Jets as an organization are in no position to go into a deal that could see them lose Enstrom, AND 2 first round picks and 2 2nd round picks. We have no depth in either the NHL or the system, and the organization has publicly committed to a "build through the draft" philosophy.
So no, even though the Avs aren't dealing Duchene for Enstrom, the Jets are also in no way shape or form making a trade that deals away Enstrom, and adding on 2 1sts and 2 2nds. Just insane.
