Interesting Ryan has that same cap hit but scores 30+ and he's not worth the assets but yandle is? :shrugs:
both are probably worth the assets. yandle brings us something we aren't even close to having though, del zotto may never be as good as yandle is right now.
building from the net out has always been this teams strategy, and if you have the opportunity to add a dman who will be the best on your team for a fair price you do it and dont think twice. if we have an embarrassment of riches on d, we move the odd man out.
Why are we trading assets to get a top 4 d when we already have 4? And his cap hit don't help us getting offense
A 3way deal? Unless Slats is POSITIVE he is going to sign Schultz and deal away MDZ. I mean this doesn't make any sense. We need 2 forwards and 1 d man. The d man we grab can not lock us up financially from grabbing big time forwards.
NO to Yandle! His cap hit would hurt us from grabbing a big time forward.
What "big time forward"? Howson wants the late-80's Oilers in return, Parise's gonna cost a fortune even without getting Yandle, E. Kane's not happening, no Radulov, everyone hates Semin, and you're bidding against everyone and their grandmother for Ryan (if he's even getting traded).
if im picking between moving mcdonagh mdz or staal im always picking staal. we need to be more mobile from the blue line and his value is high, hes the kind of player that actually would return us bobby ryan.
yandle is a much better defenseman than staal. if we are replacing staal with yandle and moving staal for a top end forward we are a much better team.
