Rupert is going to fit right in with our young recently drafted hard nosed players.

Rupert, Biggs, Devane, Ross, Carrick, Broll.

Alot of toughness, character and compete in those players. We have an ideal bottom 6 in waiting, just need a top 6! lol

Remember Rupert in the memorial cup, plays with that Hunter Bros edge. Good pick up, similar refrain this draft for the Leafs, some had him much higher. Was msg He's going to play in the NHL one day by a scout when he was picked by Leafs.

BTW We didn't get Gemel Smith, but Rupert is a good alternative. This one has Morrison written all over it. Nice pick. Leafs continue to add players that will make us a pain to play against.

Even as a Spitfire fan, Rupert in the blue and white makes me laugh. The kid has all the makings of a superpest with offence.

As for the Cousins incident...Cousins isn't exactly highly-regarded and started the situation. Rupert simply finished it. When the OHL gives both guys two games, you know they sided with Rupert

I have higher expectations for Biggs, but see exactly what you mean here. Perhaps Rupert, Ross and Devane.

Really hope Devane can continue to develop, he's a good PK guy already, has leadership qualities. Sill a ways to go but when we drafted him at #68, we knew he was a long range project.

Cross between Bill Berg and Darcy Tucker, but shorter. He's got a shot at the NHL; Matt, not so much.

Morrison has confirmed that Matt has been unofficially invited to camp; it has already been discussed.

2-for-1 just made this a heck of a lot better.

Amazing pick.
I watched all of the Kitchener and Niagara series and the Ruperts were noticeable every game. Perfect role player to put on your fourth line and the guy seemed to be able to get around the ice nicely.

Side note: He also mentioned how they missed out on two goalies today; but will invite a goalie they have had their eye on.

My shot in the dark guess is Ullberg.

Dave Morrison said they already talked to Matt and he'll be going to camp with Ryan.

Rupert-Rupert-Ross would be my favorite line in Leafs history if they all panned out as 4th line beasts

Definitely one of my favourite picks of the draft. This guy seems like a Brad Ross of the OHL (though maybe a little more controlled that Ross). My only concern is that his size might not allow him to translate that game to the AHL/NHL.

What about Houser? He's been left undrafted for 3 years, and was statistically one of OHL's best goalies.

I'm with you on that one. OHL player and goaltender of the year. What else does he have to do?

I was just about to say Houser as well. Why not, Mckegg was on the Knights for a while there, Rupert was on the Knights too. Houser was right there for the scouts to see haha. Houser is a battler, he won't stop trying.

Good pick. 25% Domi, 50% Tucker, 25% Mr. Frodo

All heart.

Watching some of his fights, he rarely gets beat down as you would expect someone 5'9", knows how to use low centre of gravity.

I think they expect Ross to be more than a 4th liner, and they're right in expecting more based on his play in junior.

Like the look of that line, and hopefully Carrick and Devane develop well and end up on the 4th line.

The Ruperts are the type of bruisers you want on a playoff team. I'm still ecstatic they took a chance with these guys.

Very similar to Scott Nichol, that is as close a comparison as youll see I think. Some of you guys shouldnt be calling him a bruiser though. Hes physical on the forecheck, but not out there crushing guys all the time. Hes too small for that even in the OHL really

Rupert was rated much higher at #61 on NACS, I could see him making the NHL one day, infact other than Finn and Rielly, he is the most likely prospect that will play in the NHL that the Leafs drafted this draft IMO. Not bad for a #157 pick.

Love the twins on my Knights. At 5'9 it's a little worrisome but hey, we'll see what they can do.
