Gagner alone won't get Oilers anything close to Yandle. Even a package centered with Gagner won't get it done either.

Gotta give to get

Edmonton may have to add a little. Phoenix can take their pick of one or two (depending on the piece) of Teubert, Lander, Omark, 32nd, Jones, Pitlick. It sucks for them to lose Hanzal, but i don't think Yandle straight up for Yakupov is a good deal unless we are getting another significant need filled in return.
No way from Phoenix.

Gagner is a good multi-purpose player but far from elite. If anything the Oilers will need to add more.
yeah that's what i meant! i realize now it could look like the other way around.

I feel like this is perfect for the flyers..

Get rid of carle since we would be getting Yandle

Schenn + Akeson/Cousins/Gustafsson + Read

Thoughts? AM i close?

Are the Coyotes crazy?

Why would you trade a defenceman like Yandle? Guy is quality and entering his prime.

The more I think about it, Paajarvi and Klefbom would need to be the starting pieces for the Oilers.

They have a lot of potentially good defenseman that allows them to get away with this. They are trying to add to a position of weakness.

Not to knock Phoenix at all, but:

Phoenix needs center help in a bad way. If I were PHI, I would offer Schenn for Yandle straight up and let PHO think about getting a blue chip physical (inexpensive) center to go with their glut of strong physical 2-way forwards in the pipeline in exchange for Yandle who will become redundant within the next 2 seasons.

Then wait for Phoenix to counter (and hopefully someone will add if needed.)

Flyers have too many centers. Phoenix has a bounty of defensemen. Good trade partners.
only on HF would a prospect fetch an all-star d-man in his prime on a good contract

I see where your going but adding Hanzal tips the balance far to much in the Oilers favor.
Drop Hanzel and Belanger and Phoenix adds say a 2nd rd pick or a prospect or a much lesser player than Hanzal.

don't u guys know? Most Oilers fans think their team should get players they want for their expendable pieces buhh their valuable pieces will cost a top 5 player in the world. Yandle is not a top 5 player in the world

Chara-Yandle
Seidenberg-Boychuk
Ference- Mcquaid/Hamilton

Thoughts?
Might work in a EA game. You should do some research on the players you are trading for before offering what most GM's would consider a joke.

Omark, can't make the Oilers = zero trade value
Whitney good "if: healthy, big risk

Yandle #1 dman = expensive
Rundblad was traded last year for Kyle Turris a former 3rd overall pick and centerman

The Oilers would have to offer a dang sight more than what you are proposing. think high picks and quality players.

See the offers from the fans of other teams.
Any one else think this might be the beginning of players asking out of Phoenix after Ray Whitney's Doormat rant/possible relocation of team?

No he isn't. Yandle still has a lot of room for improvement defensively.

I think there is the makings of a deal if the piece going back to PHO is Gagner instead of Paajarvi. Gagner is closer to being ready to be a full time player and pho needs a Center to eat up some of hanzals minutes. The Belanger part is silly since they would want a player of note, so I would add Pitlick and Omark.

Yandle, Hanzal

for

1st,Gagner, Pitlick, and Omark

I definitely think the Bruins would have interest in Yandle. Giving up Krejci always gets tossed around but I'd be hesitant to do so unless necessary; I say send Caron and a prospect or two down to Phoenix.

Chara - Seidenberg
Yandle - Boychuk
Ference - McQuaid
Hamilton

It's a perfect opportunity to break Dougie in slowly as the seventh d-man. Also a perfect opportunity to get rid of Mike Mottau.

They would probably be interested in Cousins as a piece. He can center and is tearing it up. Would be good bottom 6 center depth. Also a bit of a pest, which they may want once they give up on Torres.

Not sure why they would want Gus -- he's not in the same tier as their defensive prospects.

A prospect + decent player and a mid or low pick would get him.

But a blue chip prospect + decent player and high pick is too much.

He just isn't that good defensively to command that high of a return.

He's not a top 3-5 dman. Off the top of my head Weber, Suter, Karlsson, Pieterangelo, Doughty, Letang, Chara, Campbell are all way better. His contemporaries are guys like M.Staal, Timmonen, Girardi, Seabrook, Boyle, Visnovsky (assuming a return to form). If we are being generous we could call him equal, although i think a step below, guys like Kronwall, Keith, Edler, Green, Burns. Guys he may be slightly better than are Myers, Subban, Smid (don't flame me i know how HF feels but they are wrong). He had one outstanding year, he isn't bound for the Hall nor is he elite. He's just very very good.
