You know that "1B" implies a starter, right? A second-tier starter perhaps. 2A=very good backup.
Anyway, it is pretty ridiculous to dismiss Bobrovsky as a starting goaltender. At 23, he's already started 84 games. (20 more than Schneider, 35+ more than Bernier--both of whom are older.
He's in need of regular starts and a decent goalie coach (to fix his bantom-level glove hand), but he still has very good potential.
Obviously Bernier has the better pedigree, and Schneider has produced better--though Bob has never had the opportunity to play behind a strong, defensively-sound system.
Bob would also come significantly cheaper than some of the alternatives--a mid-2nd would almost certainly do it. Tampa has 54 second round picks--I'd think they are better off moving one for Bobrovsky than packaging Connolly and a pick for Bernier or... I don't even know what Vancouver fans would want from Tampa for Scheider.
Ok. End rant. Will not post in the future before second cup of coffee.
I think the best goalie on that list is Thomas. He has one year left on is contract at 5 million. Luongo has a bad contract. Schneider could be traded at the right price but will cost alot same goes for Rask.
