So regardless of whether it happens or not... could it be Weber?

The other involves the Flyers who are talking to a Western Conference team about a star player...maybe not the same star player everyone has been speculating on...but a big time player... the deal would be a 7 player deal and the Flyers would be setting up a separate deal as well.
Don't know if it would be Weber. There were also reports that Holmgren had inquired about Erik Johnson as well. I just hope we don't move any forwards except JVR and/or Read (unless it's for Weber of course).
Assuming it's a legit rumor, don't sleep on Keith Yandle. People were talking about him last year, of course he then signed an extension. But I think thinks can work there, and the Flyers love trading with the Coyotes.

I posted awhile back asking what Coyotes fans would want for Yandle since he seems to be getting pushed aside by OEL.. They only wanted JVR and a first.. I'd make that deal everytime

Really? That's all the Phoenix fans wanted for Yandle? Yes please.

And twice on Sunday. Like, so ****ing fast.
I hope Maloney feels the same way. Somehow I doubt it, though. Yandle would be an incredible acquisition for us.
I know it's a fairly vague rumor, but does Homer plan on blowing it up, in some fashion, every off-season?
Yeah the part where it says 7-player deal is what scares me. I'd be willing to deal JVR, Read, Bob, Mez, and our 1st (not all together) for defensive help.

Words can't describe how happy this would make me.
I was listening to some Columbus radio show or something that Eklund was just on, and he said at the deadline Columbus offered Carter back for Voracek straight up

Are you laughing because it was stupid, or are you laughing because they believed him when he said it?

People actually bring Eklund on radio shows? What a joke.
Also: I can't believe nothing much has been done today in terms of movement. Once the first big trade is made--- the dam breaks?
Source is the illegitimate twitter discussed at length before.
In terms of the second point, I do think Ryan and Nash might be locking each other up. Teams like the Flyers, Rangers, etc. have no reason to surrender to (some) of Columbus's demands if they think they can get Ryan for less; Anaheim holds on to Ryan waiting to see the price for Nash and hoping that one of the teams that lose out over pays.
For example:
Lets say that the Rangers finally agree to put Stepan or Kreider in a package, and Columbus bites. It is completely unreasonable to think Murray thinks the Flyers, having seen the Rangers improve, perhaps move off their reluctance to part with Schenn.
