I don't think he can trade Schultz to himself.

The way the league is going... skill kills. Hockey is all about skating now. I see no mention that he is a good skater.

Comparisons to Lucic are promising but are diminished when I hear he has had some injury issues.

Hitting won't happen much if he can't skate, no fighting if he cant stay healthy.

If Lucic doesnt pan out, who does he compare to...

Good though, Philly didnt get him.

No its stupid.

No one thinks this anymore except for Dale Hunter. We need physical guys who don't think they have to fight because they nailed an idiot with his head down.

We do need more compete though. You just gotta be careful...a lot of high compete guys in the CHL can't make it skill-wise in the NHL. I'm not unhappy, though. The kid has a chance. Hopefully, the Caps aren't just being conservative. It seemed like they had to twist each other's arms to take Forsberg. Not sure about these guys...(I'm coming back to reality).

Our two best prospects outside of the NHL are - Kuznetsov and Galiev (Wingers)....so what do we take with both of our 1st's? Two wingers....

Last time we were rumored to have picked the player the Flyers wanted we ended up with Sasha Pokoluk.

BPA. Drafting for position in hockey is foolish.

He absolutely is not. Just like Kuznetsov and Galiev are not, at all.

I'm out, guys. It was fun. Have a great weekend.

Congrats and welcome to Forsberg and Wilson! I look forward to seeing you lift that Stanley Cup in a Caps uniform!

You know what? At least Wilson has Lucic as his upside with Neil as his lowest potential most likely. The more I think about this pick the more I like it. If he can get 50+ points next year, it's a great pick IMO.

What position did we trade for?

And drafting based on need is a terrible strategy.

Really happy with this day.

Would have liked one of faska or ziggy at 16. But I'm happy with this kid. If he can skate, he can play up and down the line-up.
